Who do you think the mysterious guardian is?
When we first saw this mysterious guardian in the very first mission I though that she would help us later on. However, later on during the first moon mission we see her face and because of the cloak I'm guessing she was a hunter. In the scene that we see her she seems more like a ominous threat. Why else would she let us to fend off the hive horde alone.
My theory is she used to be a guardian like us but then her ghost died, and she went rogue trying to steal other guardians light, and become the traveler's worst enemy yet.
I don't know but I wanna know. any thoughts, theories.

5 RepliesShe is "The Queen" the leader of the organization on "The Reef" she is an awoken hunter, and also has a few loyal fallen as well. You'll see her later, I don't know exactly what, but you'll get missions from her later in the story In sure.

Maybe she's leaving us to fight as some kind of test, maybe she knows something we don't about our enemies and lost worlds and is waiting for us to find it out for ourselves

Edited by DodenL: 8/2/2014 5:09:25 AMI rewatched some of the e3 trailer and it shows the mysterious hunter woman again once you get deeper into the campaign, she's unmasked and warns you not to let the fallen know you're there, in the trailer I also saw you coming into contact and I think helping an awoken group on the planet

I don't think she is an antagonist given the fact that she was seen in a later campaign mission on Venus complementing our character's bravery. This was shown in the experience trailer btw. I think she is an ally who will possibly serve a similar role to Arbiter in the halo trilogy. Just a theory though.

People treat the traveler as a god because of all the great powers it has, but it was still able to be crippled. It's kind of like an atheist's argument on if there is a god, why does he allow evil to persist, and why can't he defeat it.

1 ReplyI am just going to jump to this conclusion based off of.. The speaker looking kind of evil. That mysterious guardian is watching you and is a anti speaker group leader and is part of the true guardians. We are being misled by the speaker and the traveler is being misused by him in some way. Calling it now thats more less is whats going to happen (in all honesty I am wrong).

I think the Mysterious Huntress is someone who is stalking me. And she probably will play the wild card role in this game. Bungie will use her in bringing the twist in the story line. That could mean anything. She could be my guardian angel, or she could be someone who is testing me to see if I can really be trusted, because there is more to the Traveler than what the Speaker is telling us.
