Ok I've had it. Multiplayer SUCKS. I'm no noob, I played MYTH & HALO day one. I can't tell who is my ENEMY or ALLY until it's too late. EVERYONE LOOKS THE SAME but with a faint red glow WTF. I miss how distinguishable Red vs Blue days were.

It is a valid point you'd want to be able to identify an enemy at a moments notice. I'm not disrespecting you in any way and recognize the validity of your point. I don't believe that during a combat scenario everybody would want to put on an entire color to identify themselves to the enemy, and removing every persons ability to express their individuality as who they are during competitive multiplayer is unrealistic. At this stage in gaming with this new generation of platforms I'm fine with having to look before I shoot. The enemy is at the same disadvantage you are and to offer customizability only to remove it is self defeating. I understand your point. I disagree with stripping everyone of their customization that expresses their individuality so competitive multiplayer becomes easier when in fact it's more realistic the guy charging at you SHOULD be looked at to determine his/her intentions. I'm fine with it. Your statement "multiplayer sucks" though.... that's over dramatic. My first game I had to adjust. Then the other games were just a learning curve for identifying enemies. Like I said though, I understand where you're coming from, we just disagree. ;o)

6 RepliesI don't understand how anyone had a problem identifying friends from foes. Friendly a have name in green and enemies in red lol not hard at all.
-
Seemed difficult at first but I had to get used to looking at he radar a lot. Train them eyes!
-
Radars kindof give the enemy away...
-
3 RepliesI never had an issue identifying friend from foe, but my teammates did seem to shoot me every now and then.
-
its because pvp still has the cod system
-
3 RepliesI laughed. I've stood next to enemy players and here we are not knowing we're supposed to be shooting each other when one of my team Members comes up and kills the guy. I was like WTF....then Oooooooohhh.

Edited by Ezimatana: 7/28/2014 7:58:48 PMTo be honest, I think it's easy enough because they have a waypoint over their heads if they are friendly. Otherwise they are an enemy. Although, when you get flashbanged no waypoints appear for a while so it gets very confusing. I would like something more distinguishable. I would say to override each player's class item with a Red/Blue cloak or bond so it's easier to tell, but then people would get all mad and say they want to show off their cosmetic cloaks.

I'm actually happy the way it is. Team colours make it too much like a sport, rather than a battle. If you want to play with friends, you can always use the shaders. And lone wolves should never be made to wear a uniform.
-
Maybe not the full armor like Halo, but perhaps a special Orange and Blue class piece? Literally anything. Came out of a flashbang and shot two of my teammates while the baddie scurried away despite the fact I could see clearly, all because there was no names or color indication.
-
Really? I actually had a hard time adjusting to the whole red versus blue armor. I mean what happened if you're on the red team? I kept on think in my teammates were enemies. At least with red name tags, ALL red guys are enemies. Make sense?
-
I'm having trouble with this too.
-
Yo radar, check it out

6 RepliesNot sure? Shoot 'em anyways! That's how I was taught.

Edited by PsycoMetal64: 7/28/2014 11:05:17 AMIf it doesn't have a name above its head, shoot it.
And PVP doesn't suck, you suck at PVP (I checked)
I didn't actually get a chance to delve into the PvP, but personally I like the concept they went with. While Red v Blue was great for distinguishing your enemies, it was unfairly stacked in the favor of blue. From a psychological standpoint, your brain will notice and react faster to colors of higher contrast, Red. When we used to do LAN parties we would force blue vs green, or red vs yellow. We were actually kind of surprised that there were tangible changes in team performance.

3 RepliesI agree, you sort of get used to it after a while, but I'd prefer some sort of tell. Perhaps a cape or a bib?

1 ReplyI had absolutely no issues knowing who was who o:

6 Repliesadopt james west's view on how to handle enemies shoot first shoot some more and after everyone is dead try to ask a question or two pvp is extreamly easy to tell the difference i mean im 30 and my reaction time isnt the best anymore not to mention vision isnt either spend your time using the radar and flag indicators if a flag is blue and its turning red there are enemies there run in guns a blazing yelling high ho silver if your a sniper you should be far enough back to easily identify enemies and have a solid line of sight to high trafic areas where you can rack up a lot of kills now im not calling you a noob or anything but what your asking for is a big neon sign saying hi im a bad guy and your not gonna get that in pvp and honestly it would ruin the experience of the game they want you character to be shown off they want your cool armor to be seen not one flat color this isnt halo is destiny
-
I don't know how I can tell, I just can. Surprising now that you pointed it out.
-
thats not the real issue, whats really going on is that you can't even see the tags when you activate the ghost and thats really a problem turning of the ghost just to see that it was a friendly precious seconds lost

6 RepliesEdited by Vayn: 7/27/2014 11:21:47 PMIt sounds like you just need to work on your situational awareness. Not trying to be rude, but it really isn't hard to figure out who is friend or foe. In other shooters it's the same way, no team colors, and everyone's fine with it.
