Moon Mission Level 9
So, what were your thoughts on the moon mission? Died a couple times when gates opened for hive, but then I realized I should listen and back up. Not too bad. The wizard was easy if you had a super and a grenade. Overall, I thought it was fun, and just the right difficulty. How about you? And one more thing.

I did it on hard, solo the first go-round, never died. When I found the body of the Guardian and saw the little cut-scene, I immediately took to a covered position with my Cydonia-AR3 and Gozen-C and proceeded to dismantle the oncoming waves. The auto-rifle made short work of the soft targets, while the Gozen destroyed the hard ones. Thought the mission was great - I just wish my freakin' Ghost would stop alerting the Fallen that I'm, y'know, there. I prefer to attack from ambush rather than head-on, and he seems determined to draw as many enemies to us as possible.

did level 9 solo. backed up the hill, waited for the thralls with my ak3, then the ak wave, went inside, but at the door and waited it out, picking them off till it was me and the mighty mofo wizard. I died twice trying to figure out the cocktail. 3rd time I got it all with a lil patients... was fun.

It was fun the thrall stampede was crazy though. Me and my friends died 12 times each. It wasn't hard per say definitely not easy though. (I'm a hunter so our super wasn't very useful for the thrall stampede. That was definitely a Titan/Warlock moment.) Incendiary grenades are better than the swarm grenades, so I'll have to remember that for launch....whenever I get a PS4 Destiny bundle.

There was a mission?! lol I just got lost in hellmouth. That place just looks amazing. Mission was easy enough up until the temple doors opening. That was a surprise. Handled it though.

wasn't easy or hard. it was just at my level the hard part was the public event. i have to defend ghost from a 100 high level monsters i did't die on the mission but i did a couple times on the public event mission.

Large Hive cave system, Pikes, the -blam!-ing Moon, golden chests, bunny emblem, ogres, shriekers, did I mention it's the -blam!-ing Moon?

I did it four times but twice I didn't even do the mission and just explored, going into Hellmouth. On the easier setting I thought Hellmouth wasn't too bad. Then on the harder setting I thought it was tougher for sure but still not hard except for those two level 12 knights. I played warlock on the harder setting and my titan om the easier setting so that probably contributed some too

The mission was easy. Played it again as an exploration mission and I went as far down in the caves as you can go. Found a fancy bunny icon thingy in a golden chest.

I thought the mission wasn't too hard, but gave some challenge, especially the part where the gate first opens and all of the Thralls just start coming after you. Pretty intense. Wish I had explored more though, guess that can wait for the actual game though

1 ReplySoloed mine as a warlock. Had to run for a while to keep the hallowed guys off me, but nailing a whole wave with nova bomb worked decently enough

I solo'd the level 9 difficulty without dying. Hardest part was when the gates opened up... I got really close to dying several times. Basically just double-jumped around to avoid thrall damage while picking off whatever I could. Once the hallowed knight was dead, things settled down and I was able to handle the rest pretty easily. The wizard dies to 3 rockets.

BAAAACOOON! Great diversity in choices. Wasn't eat, but I wish it had been a bit harder. Then again we have been farming devils lair and have best in slot level 8 gear. When leveling on retail we will be level 6 when we do level 9, and be in worse gear. So I think that the level 9 heroic mode is attuned perfectly.

Pretty solid. Wizards hate Gunslinger abilities (and I have a cluster-bombing solar rocket launcher), so they kind of wilted a bit quick.

It was damn intense the first time, I did it on level 9. So many Thralls.

Hardest part was killing those two lvl12 hallowed knights. The rest wasn't that bad at all. But it was awesome nonetheless

Not bad. I have a few solar weapons for the hive and wizard plus in the beginning I had an arc shotgun. Hunters are great for taking out wizards because the golden gun an hunter grenade do solar damage which wizards are weak to.
