I've been playing the beta for 2 days now on XB1 and I've come to the realization that my in game chat doesn't work at all. This includes multiplayer and strikes. I can see the voice icons of other players speaking in game, and I can see my own icon detect my own voice input however there is no audio feedback on my headset nor my TV.
I attempted to contact Microsoft and went through troubleshooting steps with them, but nothing worked. My XB1 is only a few days old and I don't own any other games for it so I cannot check to see if the issue is Destiny only related, but Microsoft confirmed that it probably isn't my Internet nor is it the Xbox. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.
Edit: The problem still persists, and I am aware of the Destiny party glitch, this issue is related to IN GAME CHAT not party chat. Bbbb

I don't think the exact scope of the problem is getting across. - I am NOT in an XBL party and I am aware of the limitations Destiny has on the way the party chat functions - I AM in a fireteam or a multiplayer game mode (such as the crucible or a strike mission) that supports in game chat and I am fully aware that you cannot communicate outside of these game modes without forming a strike team first. - I've contacted Microsoft with this issue. There is no problem with my network nor my Xbox and voice communication should work fine. - I've adjusted my in game settings to the point where output should work fine - In game modes where I can communicate with other players I can see their icon indicate that they are speaking, however I cannot hear them through either output (TV or headset) I hope this clarifies things as I do believe my problem is more unique.

3 RepliesThis is an issue that has been discussed a few times there are a number of topics on it. If you quit Destiny, get your party set up outside of the game, then open Destiny it should work. Give it a try and come back here if it doesn't work.

1 ReplyHave you gone through the audio settings for Destiny itself?
