So Why Are The Shotguns So Damn Powerful?
Why is the easiest gun to use in the game a one shot kill? All this does is invite people to hide in entry points and without contest kill their enemy. What's the point of gettin good with headshots if you can just hip fire someone and kill instantly? It looks like half the matches I play are dominated by shotguns.

All they do is dominate their niche which is close range. Say the same thing about snipers being so amazing at cross mapping.

But whats the weakness to a shotgun? Shooting from Long Range. The reason why it seems so dominated by shotguns is because everyone likes to run into battle without thinking. Besides, its not the only gun in the game that can get one shot kills in the crucible.

Well they are not slug shots for one, it shoots a sPRAY. Also them Preachers can only give their 'good news' at short range or their sPrayers will not be felt by their adversaries.

4 RepliesLet's think of real life for a second. If I shot you at point blank with a shotgun you would be blown to shit and die with one shot, much like what happens in the game. So your complaining is unnecessary.

Here is a solution. Since it's a [i]Shotgun[/i] I would recommend staying away, since the effective range is about 10 feet. It's a one shot kill because you are staring down a monster that wants you to stare it down.

4 RepliesWhy not just make PVP a real test of skill and teamwork, and give everyone the same gear. Make the rewards for PVP purely cosmetic, reputation and bragging rights.

It's all about how you play. Halo had the most powerful shotgun and sniper I seen in any game. They're trying to duplicate the level of difficulty from Halo

I think all the guns our as fit as possible and we shouldn't tell Bungie anything of their damage tables because everything works.

Shotgun is only good at very close range. You'll get the hang of it, I remember learning them in halo. It's very rewarding when you learn to use it.
