We've been investigating the reports of centipede errors that have been popping up on the forums. There are a few ways you can hit centipede errors.
1. I have never connected and get centipede when I try to sign on
2. I randomly get centipede when I play
[b][u]3. I was able to play just fine, and all of a sudden I get centipede errors all the time and can't sign in[/u].[/b]
1 and 2 appear to be networking issues. This thread is concerned with [b]#3[/b].
#3 is an issue that we're tracking internally that I want to get more info about. Based on user reports and assistance, we identified a timing issue having to do with swapping quickly items between characters using the tower vault. We applied a fix and did some fixup of a number of affected users. However, not all affected users could be fixed up. So we're continuing to investigate solutions. We suspect there may be more ways to hit this error, and we need your help to find them.
If you were at some point able to play [b]after the maintenance period[/b], but then were blocked from signing on due to centipede errors, please reply to this post with the following:
1. Gamertag / Online ID of all affected profiles (send this to me in a PM if you're not comfortable posting this information publicly)
2. What was the last time you were able to properly sign in and play (date, time and time zone)
3. What was the last time you tried to sign in and got centipedes (date, time and time zone)
4. Had you used the account vault at all between being able to play and seeing persistent centipedes?
5. Have you deleted any characters between being able to play and seeing persistent centipedes?
6. if you had not done 4 or 5, please give as detailed an account of your play between when you last played, and when you started seeing centipede errors.

GT: FaKe Carp 1 last sign in: 7/25/14 at 4:00pm attempted sign in: 7/25/14 at 6:30pm no no i had to redownload the game and after that the errors started popping up. (it allowed me to play the game before the download was done my system then shut down and i had to redownload it).

1. GT: stevedix (Xbox 360) 2. July 25th about 7:45 PM Mountain Time 3. July 25th about 8:00 PM 4. I looked at the vault but did nothing else. I only opened it up by accident really and didn't put anything in at all. 5. No I am playing as a level_3 on the second mission on earth and every time I enter and start the mission I get kicked due to the centipede error. This happens if I select any of the 3 missions available on Earth.

I got canary error codes but I have a feeling it's the same thing, it won't let me play due to "connection" issues but I can play other games just fine. I didn't swap any items with anyone or delete a character though. I just quit playing one night then this morning it would no longer let me play. 1. PattyDaDestroyr 2. July 25, 2:00 AM EST 3. July 25, 10:40 PM EST 4. I just put some items in the vault, I only have one character so I did not switch them out. 5. No, I got a canary error code that says I can't play due to connection errors. (Sorry if I'm wasting your time because it's not a centipede) 6. I played off and on for a total of 6-8 hours maybe on the 24th lasting to the 25th.

Well, not only have I missed out on the iron banner event, but I'm probably going to miss out on that special reward for tomorrow, I hope you guys apply the fix in time for it.

I couldnt tell you was probably the day after the beta i started playing and then either the 19th or 20th, some time at night between 5-10pm eastern time 3. 7/25/14 630pm eastern time 4. Honestly I'm not even sure what the account vault is, I'm only level 3. 5. Only have 1 level 3 character never deleted him. Haven't been able to play because of centipede, bee, and caterpillar errors. 6. I am level 3 and i was doing missions and i finished the mission to go back and turn in the quests for my items, I went to go turn them in and it started from there and can never stay logged in longer than to accept my reward.

(I also deleted one earlier(sunday/monday?) without getting the centipedes.) I'm still receiving centipede errors on my account (TOt1s19) and I would greatly appreciate a fix. I don't mind if my characters get wiped but I will be angry if I can't get the reward.

Not sure if 4 really excludes me but I spent a solid 6-8 hours playing the level 4 cosmodrome exploration level. Also spent a good amount of time in the Crucible playing the matchmaking system, My room mate and I downloaded these on the same day and have been playing problem free until today around 3PM EST. We are on the same wireless set up and he has yet to have an issue. Would love to get back in there for tomorrows big gathering. Delete what you have to but please help!

24 hours after my initial post (still intact below) I remain unable to play. I will provide additional information, if my problem is more complex than the others. I transferred junker items onto my character using the vault, moved his goodies into the vault, then deleted him. I then made a new character, got him to the tower, and quit to dashboard (on the 360). When next I tried to play, I hit start, it said I signed in, verified content, all that good stuff, and while the loading animation kept going, the screen faded black, and after perhaps 10 seconds of the black screen and loading symbol, centipede. This is consistent. I have resigned myself to not playing again during the beta. I want to thank you for the two days I had. I played all the missions, got a lvl 8, explored some, and played three games in the crucible with my best friend. What you have here is absolutely beautiful, and I thank you for allowing me this early glimpse of it. I gleefully await September, so long as this little issue is resolved by then, which I am fairly certain it will be. Keep working your magic, and best of luck.
