Not having open/configurable voice chat is a massive step backwards. When I'm playing PvP, I need to co-ordinate with my teammates. In PvE, I'd really like to be able to chat with random players I come across, and my team in strikes. I'm a social person, I like talking to people. If someone became a problem I'd just mute them, problem solved. Theres no need to get upset if someones being disruptive. You need to decide what you're doing here bungie, making a single player oriented game or an MMO. As far as I'm concerned the chat at the moment is not up to modern standards. What about the folk who are going to buy destiny but none of their friends will have it? Do you just expect them to sit and be mute in the crucible etc? It just wouldn't be fun for them.

It's not an MMO. Bungie has already stated this.

Well its definately not your average multiplayer shooter. Large open shared spaces should have freely open and/or proximity based voice chat, would you not agree? I say this as a player who plays many MMORPGS, and I see more than a few similarities between them and destiny.

I completely agree with you about it being an MMO. There is too much gameplay that shows the quality of a MMO.
