There's only one issue with Bungie making the environments more interactive with more lootable/interactive objects or wildlife, and that would be that Bungie is trying very hard to make Destiny play the exact same across all 4 platforms :(.
This means that we Next-gen users may not be able to have our upgrades/changes if those changes can't be brought to the Ps3/Xbox360.
This isn't to say that it can't be done though, because after seeing how the PS3 version of Destiny looks I'm confident they may be able to squeeze in some extra environmental fun into the last gen console's limited memory.
Here is hoping Bungie doesn't forsake us in favor of the older platforms that are in all honesty threatening to hold this birth of a great new franchise, back.

I really detest the fact that it is going to be cross platform especially if it going to hold the game back. They are making it cross platform to sell more copies but if they use it as an excuse for what I have stated above I cant justify supporting the franchise.

I agree with you. I hate to believe that Bungie has deluded themselves into thinking that designing the game across last/current gen AND making sure the game plays THE SAME across both to be something that we really wanted. I feel that it's just one big excuse so they can sell more copies. On the other hand Activision could have had their hand in this, possibly forcing Bungie to bring this game to last gen consoles in return for their massive funding and support. In the end I just want the game to turn out the way it should :/

Oh it was 100% activision. They know the profit potential of putting it out on 360.

True, and I could understand that somewhat. The issue I have with the whole thing is that Bungie, for one reason or another, has gone to great lengths to make sure the game is the exact same over the previous and current gen. Now if Bungie were to decide "On the PS4 and Xbone, we're going to make sure those versions of Destiny utilize their respective consoles full power with the addition of changes that the consumer wants/needs. Even if these additions won't/can't be added to the last gen ports". ^^^^^ Something like that would make me feel a lot better.
