Not only are we hoping to leave a high watermark for population on that day, we’ll also provide a special reward to those of you who make an appearance in the Tower… or in the frontiers beyond its walls." It is a stress test you do not have to earn it, so please read more before you argue so much

Nobody is coming to the table with any proof of Bungie saying you get something for just "showing up", so we will just have to wait and see. They say to be at the tower at that specific time because a door gets opened to the area where "Lord Shaxx" is and I know this for a FACT, so let's just leave it at that, shall we?

Actually, all you have to do is log in for the Beta emblem.

Um, no. I already got an "iron banner" emblem and a legendary primary weapon that carry over to the full game.... I had to earn them in the Iron Banner Tournament which was a 2 hour limited time event. Before I go any further, (and I should have started with this) did you even play the Beta yet?

Did they confirm that your legendary iron banner rewards would transfer to full game?

I wouldn't consider anything a reward that can't be put to use. It wasn't easy to get these... If just viewing the items are the reward, then I guess every vendor for each faction (i.e. Dead Orbit, Future War Cult....are all rewards then. All we can do is view their legendary items

Yeah that's true. But still even if we can't use them in the beta it was really cool being able to earn them and just see them. :) I hope they do transfer over. I was able to get most of the Iron Banner items except for the legendary ship. :(

I got the shaders, warlock armband, and an emblem from The Lord guy. Then I got a legendary hand cannon and a legendary assault rifle from crucible matches.

I think you've misunderstood. I believe the original commenter was referring to the emblem that players get on the 26th (starting at 2:00 p.m. PST) for participating in the Beta.

I don't think it's something that just gets handed out. They state be in the tower at 2pm. That's how we found out about the one that I have. In the tower at 2pm on Saturday. That's just how you find out how to acquire it. By going there at that time. Then we had to work for it as I previously stated. The 26th tower event should not be any different

It's possible that you may be right. But all Bungie has said is that you need to log on. As far as we know, you just need to be present. There could be more to it, but from what information we've been given, I don't believe so.

This is just my thought so idk for sure. But I think they'll have you claim it at the post master. So you'd have to actually claim it? But maybe not

There is an inactive setting that will log you out if you are inactive for a certain amout of time (not sure how long)

I will have to test it .... But can't test it right now do to the maintenance And I would not call it freeloading due to it is a load test for bungee not an item event
