  • Find an area of old Russia you like and try to find all of the loot chests. Then just rotate around the map and they'll show up again and again. Only cryptarch for green items. Don't waste your money buying white engrams except for some decent class items. PvP remember to use your sparrow on the moon to get places faster and generally if you stick to one or two teammates you are good to go just make sure to aim for the head most of the time

  • Don't run out of ammo. And make sure to blow up vehicles in the pvp

  • Go into the beta thinking it's just endgame activities. You'll get as much out of it as you put in, and there is so many little things to get out of it.

  • just find the OP-est auto rifle, get more weapon control perks, and then find the best armor(blue is better), then, go for the head, it always hurt... oh, pulse rifle feels like a BR...

  • Devils Lair = Loot Farm. Golden Chests are good for you, Google them. Pay attention to the schedules, things like Iron Banner provide sexy rewards. Auto Rifles are your friend in the Crucible. Buy a ship in the Tower to look badass, a map of the tower can be accessed by the robots. Engrams are awesome, buy them to further increase your rep to unlock the ability to buy better ones. There's a lot more, and you'll keep on learning new things! Overall, kick as much ass as you possibly can.

    • One of the many tips everyone is saying. Capture the flags online! Nothing worse then a team that thinks its TDM and go for kills not actually the flags which gives you more points for kills. Another one is try and get a decent defence score for your Guardian before you go in to the strike (e.g above 120) it's easier and you will end up dying less. Besides that enjoy it and you'll end up finding your own tips and tricks along the way!

    • Dance Everywhere! And on a more serious note explore everywhere. You will be amazed the stuff they have hidden in every nook of the map. You will think hey im gonna see if I can dbl jump this fence and then jump here to there and then you find a chest or a dead ghost and your like wow bungie wanted me to do that.

    • Also do not forget that if you have a uncommon weapon/armor that you want to lvl up, equipt all the tings...then go and deliver in the bounties..this will lvl up you, your character AND ANY weapon and armor that you have equiped....really usefull when going for maxed out weapons and armor :)

    • Capturing flags in lockdown gets you closer to filling your Special ability up faster . Theres a few flank spots in venus that you will like . In venus crucible hold C and B flag if you play with friends . Hunter golden pistol stay away from it there dangerous . The more strikes and stuff you do in explore in old Russia would get you nice loot and nice armors . You can get legendary armor by doing that a lot but wont be able to use it . Do the public events when you explore in old Russia they have golden tier rewards and sometimes the bad guys drop good loot and armor . Do not try to fight against question mark (??) enemies they will violate you . They cant be killed . Use an assault rifle for PvP they are good in long and short range battle . Be wise on how you use your special ability in crucible . Always try to use your special ability when numerous of enemies are around or when your flag is being neutralized in the Crucible (PvP). Try to rank up crypt arch us much as you can he will reward you with legendary armor the more you decrypt loot . (Reminder) Legendary armor cant be used until lvl 20 but try putting them in your vault bungie might let us keep legendary armor for the real game . When you do strikes and repeat story missions try raising up the difficulty level you can get better loot and armor out of enemies . You can buy ships and emblems at the tower , guns and armor . Well that's all I can think about right now theres too many things going on . The game is great . Love it . I know you will too . #Alpha&BetaVeteran

    • Don't use the Handcannon - it is widely regarded as being underpowered at the moment (for PvP anyway). Use the Autorifle instead (which is just as widely regarded as being overpowered at the moment in PvP). Don't bother with the Hunter unless you're somewhat decent at aiming - the Warlock/Hunter supers are much more friendly if not. If you're struggling for Glimmer, look up one of the many Glimmer farming videos on youtube (essentially involves running large circles around mid sized maps to take advantage of constantly re-spawning chests). Devil's lair is good for loot. When you get up to the tank, shoot the legs as the weak part (don't bother shooting anything other section), then whenever you destroy one, the head panel opens near the back of the neck revealing a crit spot to hit for a few seconds. You can also blast off the blue plasma gun it has with enough damage. As soon as you hit level 6, start taking out as many bounties as you can. The rewards are substantial. Also, make sure you get at least one gold tier public event per day, as you also get a nice reward for the first each day. An easy one is in The Divide on Explore mode, just Glimmer farm the chests for about 15 minutes and a tank will probably drop as an event (kill it in under 5 minutes - easy).

    • Do the bounties and missions out in the field. You'll not only level you faster but I'm almost to the last row in the hunter sub class( gun slinger) from em and I've only played 16hours. Also try pvp but I suggest doing pve more. I personally feel it gives a better understanding of how the game will play in the full version Hope these tips help if you choose to use em ^^

    • Look for the golden chests and by the bounties ASAP. If you need help finding them look at some videos but honestly it's more fun looking for them. Look for them first but ultimately how you find them is up to you

        • I wish someone would have told me this - Just because you 'can' upgrade a weapon doesn't mean you 'should'. A lot of your weapons leveling up will be replaced. Every upgrade costs you Glimmer. You'll be much happier spending your hard-earned Glimmer on Level 8 weapons/armor, a new ship to look cool, and on Iron Banner legendary class stuff when you get it. Trust me. You'll thank me later. Also, don't yell into your mic in PvP. Just because they're on your team, they can't hear you. You can only be heard by people invited into your fireteam. Same for Strikes and everywhere else. If they're not in your team, they honestly cannot hear a word you say. I don't even want to think about how often I've said something to teammates to realize they can't hear me. Lol

          • I mostly played my 'Lock, so here's some advice for using them: 1) Master your use of Glide. At first, Glide will feel awkward, slow, and useless, but it is (in my opinion as well as most of the other people I've talked to) the best and most versatile movement ability of any class. The first thing you need to know is that it's based primarily on momentum with very little midair control until the first upgrade. You might think activating it at the apex of your jump would give you the best height, but this isn't the case; since it's momentum-based, you'll need to activate it immediately after jumping for maximum height. If you activate it standing still, expect to be unable to move forward very much at all. However, activating it while running will propel you forward at that same speed (and you don't need to hold the button down). Pressing the button a third time, shooting or using ADS will cancel immediately. Use this to your advantage when getting shot at in the air. 2) Vortexes (from your grenade and the Novabomb upgrade) are great for both damage and area-denial. The grenade will kill within about a second and a half of constant exposure (with the added benefit of people still thinking they can run through the middle and come out the other side alive) and the Novabomb upgrade does the same initial damage in addition to the lingering high-damage vortex. Use both of these in tight areas like doorways and tunnels for maximum effect or, in the case of PvE, whenever there's a swarm of tough enemies or a boss. 3) If you have the opportunity, always take the time to Glide before using your Novabomb. This will give you time to line it up plus higher ground to account for its trajectory. And on the note of trajectory, un-upgraded Novabombs have a very short arc. Try to position yourself directly above your target whenever possible. This gives them less time to react as well as giving you greater accuracy.

              1. The five golden chests are worth getting on every character you make. Upon opening the fifth you get an upgraded sparrow. Higher top speed and better turning. Also able to take more hits before dismounting. 2. Headshots.... Headshots headshots. Don't neglect them, they really do make life alot easier. 3. Save your glimmer. It was a rare occasion when there was anything worth buying from the vendors. Just save a few k for iron banner! 4. Forget the console wars forget all the people posting on the forums complaining. Go in with an open mind and have fun! I had a blast exploring and learning mechanics. See you starside guardians!

            • Yes. After your initial amazement at the graphics, the sounds of the guns, the feel of the gun-play and the startled realization that "you've been dead a long time" - make sure you look around closely at everything. There are loot chests ( with just money at the moment ) and other things (spinmetal ) that I walked by three or four times before I noticed them. Also, try not to get in the middle of a fire-fight between waring factions if you're alone. Additionally - have fun. Do stupid stuff. Jump off the tower. Dance. Just sit somewhere and wave whenever someone looks at you. Kill the giant evil eyeball things with a melee. Enjoy....

            • Dont buy the sparrow for 2250, you get one if you collect all 5 golden chest. Do misions on hard, or it will feel like a walk in the park if you are good. There is a soccer ball in the tower to play with. Headshots are awfuly must do for both pvp and pve. There is a fan on top of the mail building in the tower which can be activated to push people up.

            • Definitely level up to 8 before hitting the crucible. Especially if you guys get to try out the Iron Banner.
