Interesting game so far. But it's not a bit better than the free to play Dust514.
I hope this gets a loooooooooot better.
Oh, and BTW, I'm yet to see were them 500 mil went. :)

you do realize this beta is just 1% of the game right? and the key word in all this is "BETA"

Edited by Tyr-Thanatos: 7/21/2014 3:36:09 PMdoubt very seriously its 10%, not even the entire map of old russia is even open to us. i will meet you half way and say 5%..still havent seen Venus, mars and the moon and what they are calling the reef, plus the remaining parts of old russia and also other locations on earth. Not to mention more strikes and at least 1 raid that i know of. the story campaign alone is suppose to take dozens of hours to complete.. we have only scratched the surface of this game in the beta

I can tell you are over hyped because you say the campaign will take dozens of hours to comeplete that is very wrong. I guarantee you that I will have beaten Destinys campaign within 20 hours of having attempted to.

Remember, this is going to have major updates and possible dlc that will possibly add more planets than Venus, Mars, Moon and Earth to begin with. Other Crucible game modes that could be like Capture the Flag, SWAT (halo, its 1 hit kill head shots with no shields) or even maybe a Survive against waves of enemies thing (my inner self speculating). Also there will be exclusive events always happening in destiny and there will be the raid "The Vault of Glass" to do in THIS game of 2-4 games over the next 10 years all starting at 9/9/14.

You do realize that those 500M wasn´t just for the dev-costs for this game. It was for everything, for the next 5-10 years. (Marketing, RnD etc etc)

Yes I do. Still. I don't see anything groundbreaking or earth shattering. It's a good game, but so are many others in the same line as this one. Oh, and Dust514 lets me play on the PS3 with keyboard and mouse. There is no reason why Bungie shouldn't implement it on Destiny.

I think that those "Public events" that pop up sometimes is pretty damn cool. Or if you´re exploring and several enemies are beating the living s**t out of you, suddenly 4 guardians stroll by and shoot them into oblivion. Cool? Groundbreaking? No, but awesome? Hell yes.

Lol I recieved closed beta access to Dust 514 with my purchase of an Uncharted 3 GOTY ps3 bundle. Played for more than a year, and am still enlisted as an Opus Arcana merc. And I will admit, Dust is garbage, a whopping 4 maps? and 2 game modes? By any FPS standard, it's rubbish, even FTP. Check out Combat Arms lmfao. Destiny could use some polish, Dust should be remade. No comparison
