Female player models sit in a silly pose
It doesn't look comfortable, practical, or cool. Why are warriors sitting so... daintily? Are they supposed to be afraid of getting their butts cold in their vacuum-hardened power armor?

1 ReplyI think it looks fine, but I'm a guy so my opinion may not count as much as girl who may find the animation itself unsettling or not right. I've seen chicks who sat like this who looked completely comfortable. I would sit like the males do in this game some time when I'm outside.

I guess people sit how they want in whatever way is comfortable, context is everything. Personally I will spend most of my time running around shooting things, but hey each to their own.

Your character isn't American, it isn't from are time line, so seeing things we don't consider comfortable or make sense might make a lot of sense in a different place even just think about that

1 ReplyPersonally I found the female sitting position very nice, when playing as a female guardian, i found the way they sat to just feel more appropriate in the sense that its cute to see these awesome female warriors show there cute girly side that makes them more enjoyable to play as, I would not have felt the same attachment to my Female character if she sat like the Male character, Whats the point of playing as a female character if all there Female traits are overwritten by a Male dominant type stance? Same goes with the Male characters, I cant imagine my Big badass titan Exo sitting with his hips bent like he is in a Photo shoot for playboy.. My point is that the animations chosen were put in place to obviously and plainly reflect your characters gender, Male's having this Alpha dog hunched over badass look, with Females having this cute, Innocent but deadly look. Wether you think its sexist or what ever, just know that they were put in place to simply represent your Gender in a very obvious fashion.

Me and my friends played the game and anything being sexist it dances being like pole dancers never came to mind. Are you sure you are not looking for problems where there is none why is this stuff the first thought for people? I personally feel they aren't being sexist enough.Female guardian classes shouldn't be allowed to leave the tower.

I whole heartedly agree and I think the lady-folk should also sit side saddle on their Sparrows too! Xxx In addition I believe they should be locked into spending extra hours (and money) at the shops in the tower and be able to adjust their make-up in the rear view mirror of their space ship whilst travelling at near light speeds across the solar system but at the same time getting better insurance quotes :( LOL

18 RepliesPerhaps they decided to have the female characters sit like that so that they'd be more dignified looking, instead of sitting like the males who sit with their crotch in plain sight. They know we're all perverted to a point and might be trying to avoid that kind of attention.

It looks pretty and elegant, I like it that way. Besides, it is a game, and thus it should be allowed for some artistic freedom. Same reason why comic artists over-exaggrate poses sometimes, to make it less bland.

1 ReplyIt doesnt matter how they sit. Personally I found the emotes to be a waste of button space in general. Why do I need to make the character sit, dance, point, or wave? It does nothing for the game or my experience. The D-pad could have been used for so much more.
