Here's what I like about Destiny:
Imagining I'm mankind's last hope. Except for that guy, and that other guy there, and this other guy, and every other Tom, Dick & Harry I pass on the street.
How ferociously the enemies guard their treasure-stuffed strongholds. Like abandoned shacks and bear caves.
How determined the enemy is to keep fighting. Just a minute or so after you've killed them, they're back up and at it, in the same place. It makes you truly feel the futility of mankind's plight, when slaughtering the enemy has about as much effect as twisting their nipples. It's a good thing they just stand around and do nothing all day or such resilient foes surely would have overrun the city long ago.
The massive scale of the tower, almost as large as my Uncle Mike's back yard.
The NPCs' dedication to the cause. They stand in the same place all day and all night and do nothing but give you quests and services.
The vastness of the terrain. I stand on the cliffs in the Divide and stare across the distant and forlorn landscape, wondering how I get down there. (Still trying)
The depth of the planning and strategy needed to beat bosses. Choosing which variation of "shoot them 2500 times" is best suited for each boss.
The sense of danger inherent in battles. If the battle goes badly for me I'll have to run away real fast. If by some miracle the enemy actually kills me I respawn a whole 20 yards away and have to walk back.

You realize the beta hadn't even added aspects they are putting in.. Like the evolving world where an invasion could happen to a map one day while your away or a meteor could decimate an area and a storm change it completely., those were ideas they had said would be invented. To the point where even bungie wouldn't always know what where how and when the world would change, not to mention... The tower isn't even the full tower! There are more areas and vendors that will be in the full game. The beta isn't even scratching the surface of what the full game is supposed to be and the ideas they said would be in it. The beta is just the basics of the game without all the crazy innovation they are touting about. Just an idea or the plain version of the game. The tower isn't going to end up being the only guardian controlled territory either. As more outposts are supposed to be either found or created. One idea I had seen in a video when explained was that you could be at that outpost and a community event with hundreds of players could take place In an invasion by let's say the fallen,. Failure to win the even could coss that outpost to be lost for that time. You could even miss that event entirely come back to destiny and go to that city or outpost then think holy shit what happened while I was away!? But the beta can't show much of that either way seeing as you can't change the world before it's even played... And it's the beginning like really the beginning, so there's not much to really dive into anyway. It's only a teaser.

Some truly groundbreaking stuff right there.

I couldn't agree more. I feel this game is going to get repetitive real fast just like Watchdogs did...

This is all true... And yet it is still fun. Hopefully they can expand on this concept and truly deliver a title worthy of all the hype... In the next releases.
