I'm just really bemused at how there were people who suffered from withdrawal after the Alpha, which had less content. Such exaggeration, imo.

 • To be fair, the Alpha only lasted a few days, so the lower content volume didn't matter. I'm having Beta withdrawals during this maintenance period!

 • I played a good chunk of the beta upon its release, and, honestly, I started getting a little restless by the next day. You can see most of what the beta offers very quickly, with the exception of the different loot. If the world was more dynamic, there was more to do in Explore, and the story missions were replayable, then it could have had more longevity. I guess if you like the Crucible, it's less likely to get stale. Getting together with friends can make it more tolerable, too.

 • You can create a character in each class and have fun with that, though! And the story missions are replayable, plus there are different difficulties. I think of the crucible as character development too. I'm very much into the role playing aspects of the game, and I think of the Crucible as military history that affects my character's reputation.

 • I could create new classes, and intend to, but it's pretty established that they're not really diverse enough to have any meaningful impact on the way I play. I am struggling to see how the story missions are replayable. They're not interesting enough, imo. I'm definitely a SP/story player first and foremost, and love getting swept up into a well crafted world. However, so far, Destiny's 'campaign' missions presented have been pretty bare bones, and offer nothing truly compelling to warrant me going back. They're quick, and simple. More what you'd find in a side mode, rather than the meat of the main story-driven experience. I've played on the different difficulties of all story content, btw. Fair play if people are loving what these early peeks have shown, but, honestly, I'm confused, because I just don't think there's nearly enough great content here to justify some of the statements I've seen.

 • I don't know, I think I understood the lore better after replaying the story missions. Stuff like the fact the Hive haven't been seen on Earth in a long time. They've been on the moon, but the fact they're on Earth indicates the Darkness is getting closer to Earth. I found that really interesting. And the idea of a Russian 'warmind' called Rasputin haha, that's such a cool concept. The missions end in a bit of a cliffhanger too - Earth reaching out to the rest of the solar system. It's very much a 'coming back to life' series of missions.
