There are alot of good points made here. Although i do agree with the dynamic environments to a point, though my problem with it is that with the changes you have proposed it would make different maps for people at different progress through the story. Which from what i can tell does not seem to be where bungie wants to push the game. As for the implamentation of different ai behaviour for the enemies this would be easier done during the strike and raid instances. Though during the free roaming part the units are there for mainly experience.

Making different maps for people at different parts of the story is not what I am asking or suggesting. I am simply promoting the idea that map/environment be dynamic and interactive at its core regardless of what mission you are currently doing (of course certain enemies need to be in certain places for the story I don't argue against that). Even if the scenario with the Fallen and the Hive couldn't play out exactly like I imagined, it desperately needs a good improvement from what it is now. The point is regardless of what mission you are doing the world is moving around you rather than being simply static and waiting to get shot. I don't find enemies simply being there for experience a good enough excuse to have them the way they are now.
