I agree with the NPC part. Also, i think each Faction should have a campaign, to get some history and purpose behind each one

I like that idea, it would give more meaning to players wearing their gear because it would stand for something. The campaign would also help better establish what they actually symbolize within the society.

I actually have a few theories on what each factions purposes and meaning might be New Monarchy might be wanting to establish a kind of democracy of sorts in the city, since some of their gear flavor text describe some sort of "welfare of the City". Dead Orbit represents the Travellers static nature almost as if its "dead in orbit". They might also have extreme interest in Golden Age Relics according to the missions in explore mode Future War Cult might be preparing for a great war later on, hence its name Not much is known about Osiris and 7 Seraphs, BUT, Osiris is the Egyptian god of death (guardian ressuection) and Seraphs are 6 winged angles in Christian and Jewish mythology. Also, i would like the faction presence to be more grand. They should be inside huge headquarters. From what ive seen in the Alpha and Beta, they look like the Tower's local Chess Clubs.

Your portrayals of the factions are a solid idea and I think that the player should explore their and goals actions through missions (to see their methods and how extreme they are). The chess club comparison of them does seem accurate at the moment and I wish they would have more of a distinction between them. The future war faction with guns on holographic displays being pieced together and pulled apart for assessment, with maps of the area laid out for discussion battle strategies. Just nice and fleshed out you know?

That sounds great! Its details like that that can really make the factions purposeful. Also, i would like to see some conflict between them, even though they're all united under the same banner of the city.

If the conflict fit in that would make things so much more tense, knowing that its not just the darkness you have to watch out for. Guardians in the field hunting you or waiting in ambush would be a thrill to have.

Unfortunately, while this sound good, i highly doubt bungie would do the conflict thing. It wouldn't make any sense story wise because bungie once said that they don't want players to make any permanent decisions, to let them experiment with different factions, also it would be weird for a FWC Guardian to suddenly switch to New Monarchy just because he wants that Legendary Pulse Rifle, even though he slaughtered more than half of their soldiers. I think the conflict would be more in the sense that they don't really like each other, they're hesitant about working together, but when duty calls they put aside their differences and fight for their common purpose; to fend off the Darkness Hope ya liked this little conversation. See ya on the battlefield And as always, Praise the Sun!
