SLOW INTERNET GAMERS UNITE!!!
To those of you who may not be able to play the Beta until later tonight or even tomorrow due to slow internet speeds... You are not alone.
After battling 2 1/2 long hours to get into the store and enter my beta code, I am forced to sit and listen to the loading screen soundtrack, (which is amazing by the way) over and over as the same pictures scroll past the screen, in and endless cycle that it sure to last long into the night...
But we are not weak because of this. We are patient hunters, wary titans, and wise warlocks because of this. What others see as weakness, we see as strength. When other's ping drops a fraction or two, their entire game is thrown off. But we are born in the lag... Raised by it... We've learned to fight through it and to work around it.
This post is dedicated to the slow internet users. The ones that stay strong through it and persevere. We shall not meet in Destiny now... Possibly not even tonight... But nothing can change the fact that we SHALL MEET... WE ARE STRONG AND WE WI-

7 Repliesyou are an idiot and a scourge to online gaming. Hopefully bungie will use ping limits so that you aren't in any of my matches. Any kill streaks you get or kdr whilst having poor internet speed will not be worth anything. You should have an asterisk by your stats. Go take some cans from a homeless person- cash them in- and do us all a favor and buy some speed. BUNGIE please put high latency players together! They deserve it.

My download speed is 1.85 Mbps and I start downloading on the 23.

I downloaded in 1 hour, but keep getting connection errors while playing[spoiler]well, not while playing, the error occurs after loading a map or the tower[/spoiler][spoiler]*hugs monkey*[/spoiler]

1 ReplyI live in the Netherlands with the best i can get internet of a whopping 8 Mbit DSL, which my line gets a maximum of 6.1 mbit out of.... I managed to download the Beta in 6 hours... On wifi my ps4 gets a massive boost of a maximum download speed of less then 0.3 mbit -.-.. So i had to splurge money to get it wired using those power socket adapters... Works like a charm now :)

I started my download yesterday around 1:00pm, I am in Colorado. Fighting off floods and horrible weather conditions and now one day later (almost 12 hours) of downloading I'm at 95% of the download! SO EXCITED! But i should give my PS4 a break when it's done! Bungie has done SO well for a Beta this size! I'm proud to have waited to play a product I've been thrilled to play for years so early.

Soon the Great Journey towards more online-centric games shall begin. But when it does, the slowness of your crappy internet will stay your feet. And you shall be left behind.
