LOL no it's not at all.

3 RepliesCircumstancial. To say something like "You're black" wouldn't be racist unless it was used as justification. For example, "You're bad at music because you're black." In addition to being racist, it would also be fairly inaccurate, as rap isn't the only music genre dominated by blacks.
And now, for extra credit: was that racist?
Edited by Thejuicemann: 7/19/2014 5:01:07 AMThe majority of my friends on the football team were black and they don't care I say (the N word) obviously not to be offensive and they don't care. They just like to give white people shit lol. They say some pretty racists shit too so when we joke around we make fun I guess it when people know you and know your joking they don't mind unless you actually mean it
-
As long as they don't kind, I don't see the problem.
-
As long as it's not in a condescending or insulting tone. You can say someone is black, make sure you aren't suggesting anything else.....

1 ReplyEdited by Nobody: 7/17/2014 2:27:42 AMRace is a social construct. The differences between people are genetic and from acculturation, the concept of differences based on skin color is idiotic.
-
It is. So is calling some one African-american, or just plain African. Or white, or British, or Canadian, or American, or French. It's the same as calling a Native American Indian really.

2 RepliesNew question. Is referring to someone as black racist? Cuz I'm sick of saying "The African American guy"
-
1 ReplySweden? You mean Switzerland, that's the nation that's always neutral...
-
It depends on the situation, I suppose.
-
1 ReplyLolNo It's really the way you use it,if you say it in a non-chalant or derogatory way, especially after I just gave you my name, than yeah, it is.
-
If it offends them, it is offensive. If you can kill someone with a knife, the knife can be used as a murder weapon.
-
Edited by Drone: 7/17/2014 1:08:01 AMIt depends on what you think racist means. I've always thought racism meant putting down, ridiculing, or treating someone unfairly because of their race. Anymore, people seems to think racism is just pointing out a difference having to do with someone's race, who isn't white.
-
1 ReplyIt's only racist if it undermines or defames their race.
-
4 RepliesWell, actually, calling someone black is actually widely considered to be politically correct. Like, in the US for instance. Not all black people are from or descended from people from Africa, so it wouldn't really be correct to refer to every black person as an African American.
-
3 RepliesWhile I'm not black, I certainly take offense to being called "white". I believe the "W" word to be both offensive and vulgar. I prefer to be called either "European-American" or "Master Race."
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
1 ReplyNo but someone could get offended somehow
-
1 ReplyYes, according to how politically correct society is slowly becoming .
-
Depends,if you're describing someone's appearance it's fine, but if you call someone "a black asshole" it becomes racist.
-
Context is everything.

3 RepliesIs calling a white person "white" racist?

2 Replies>Sweden You mean Switzerland?
-
1 ReplyHow dare you accuse them of being the race they inherently are! How dare you call them black, which is what they are! That's totally wrong. You're not allowed to call them what their race is!!
