I PC game mostly & I have Xbox one & ps4 for exclusives. But consoles need to allow you to upgrade or something to allow better hardware.

Actually I am. When I said that I meant visual wise. Look at watch dogs on ps4 & then PC. Yes there is a difference but not a drastic one.

you havem't seen the hidden .ini switched version of watchdoges, then. even in screen shot's it's amazing compared to the peasant tier console version.

what? the "normal" PC version was severely toned down to match the graphics of the lower capability consoles. the files were hidden in the game's code and can still be switched on. this results in absolutely amazing graphics at minor stability cost.(think of it as overclocking the game itself) anyone who understands hardware at all knows PC is graphically superior to the low end custom AMD solutions that both gen 5 consoles use. compare the two Side x Side, it is night and day. just like GTA5 next gen vs old gen.

You can, its called "modding", but you not only lose your warranty, but also run the risk of having your console banned from online play.

Modding is when you alter the software. He is talking about upgrading the hardware.

The only thing I'm looking into at the moment it upgrading to a 1TB 7200rpm 8gbram hdd to speed things up and double the capacity. Other than that, it's kinda the world we live in with consoles.

I upgraded my ps4 hard drive to a 1.5 tb. Its pretty nice. I just don't see why Sony or Microsoft don't release a new console every 4 or 5 years for better hardware.

Know anything about the hybrid drives? Are they worth it over a standard hdd? I'm basically looking to spend up to $150, mostly looking to up the performance and space.

Look up vids on YouTube and I think it's on playstation's website showing how to change it out and also a comparison of the different types of hard drives and there pros and cons, hybrids weren't the best but still ok.

I don't see the use in the SSD'S they are the quickest option but they have low storage space. I think I'm going to give the 1TB Seagate hybrid drive a shot. I only play 1 or 2 games at the same time and it looks as though this is where the hybrid tech (namely the flash storage) comes in better for me. It gets faster the more constant you load a particular game. For about $100 on Newegg.
