Destiny beta Pre download. (give this lots of attention so Bungie can see)
Should we be able to download the Destiny beta a couple days before it starts. This way we dont have to wait for it to download. We can just press play at midnight or whenever. What do you think?

I like the idea. Dont see why it cant work but at the same time cant see it happening.

This is a good idea. Although I've got good internet now, a year ago it was horrible and would takes days to download something as big as destiny. If they are able to have us download it a few days earlier, and then have it launched on the 17th without being exploited i don't see why not.

Most likely they are going to do what they did with the Alpha which is to send out the codes in waves so the servers don't crash.

3 Repliesbungie has absolutely no control over this.. there's only one single console even capable of preloading.. so sony would have to make that call and bungie/sony would have to agree to the extra work that would be involved in making it happen.. so for a few weeks of beta I just doubt sony will volunteer to do the extra work. . . but it could happen???!!><><L

The servers will be slammed at predownload so it wouldn't alleviate any problems

3 RepliesIt would be cool if instead of downloading the beta, Bungie releases a patch for the Alpha that magically transforms it into the Beta.

That'll be an excellent idea, this way we can reduce chances of either server lags or crashes. But we all must remember that people are fighting over Beta release causing yet another console war

Definitely, due to the size of the Beta and the amount of people downloading it at the same time, it'll take quite some time. We fans don't want to miss out on precious play time, especially after playing the Alpha. The thirst is real.
