The idea of a clan is this to me. Someone there to always have your six. Never having to pug a group. Play with like minded people. Having some one to play with no matter the time of day or night. Meeting new people from everywhere and 2 blocks away. Have fun. StarSide Echoes

Depends on what your looking for out of a game first of all. You might be the.... 1. Aggressive type why always compete for leaderboards with most kills or overall points 2. Conservative type that likes to chill in the back and watch over you teammates safety. 3. The nonchalant type that just wants to explore and chat with people as you aimlessly explore. Find a clan that share the same style as your gaming preference. So you don't have to put up with the other gaming styles! Hahaha. But seriously I hope this helps when you look for a clan.

Join WWK on PS4 we need good members.

A clan gives you a sense of camaraderie and a (mostly) competent circle of friends to share in your precious gaming time. Personally, there is nothing as frustrating as playing with a bunch of random, mindless noobs. A clan allows for a "safe haven" in the dangerous world of online shooters.

If you want to join a good clan on xbox 360 called the destiny assassins join now I am on many topics for the people who join to look at

I'm 32, a working professional, married with a family and a mortgage. Why do I participate in a clan? To have fun! Organizing around a group of like minded gamers is only going to elevate your experience with the game. I've had great times winning, and even better times losing. I'm average at best with my KDR, but throw me in with like minded players and I learn, I get better, I have fun. At the very root of us all we game to have fun, that's why we come back time after time and pick up that controller. I've made friendships that have paid dividends in the real world all around the world. Why should you join a clan? To have the best time you can within Destiny and take that experience beyond into other games and make lasting friendships around the globe.

4 hour raids will be more fun with people you know... people from your clan :)

I feel the best reason to join a clan is really because everyone prospers from it. You can rely on having a group of guys behind you at every given moment. Being a solo player is fine, but clans are especially important in this game because there are such things as skirmishes and raids that require you to have a team behind you in order to complete. Lots of people are turned off to clans because of the competitive aspect of it. Yes there are plenty of competitive opportunities, but clans can also just be a place to crash and chill with friends, playing the games you love. Clans are mostly what you make of them, so try to enjoy because they will most Definatly give you the best opportunity to be the best you can be! This is just my personal opinion, but that is what I have to contribute to the discussion.
Discuss. Personally, I like knowing that old friends will be there to play with me when life allows for sone trigger time.
In the past my gaming time was spent playing 1 player RPGs and other games like that. Now I've connected with well over 100 gamers via Social Media like Twitter and Google Plus. Through those mediums I've joined a guild on here with newfound friends. With a brand new Bungie game on the horizon I felt that it would be a great way to Forge new friendships that will be centered around Destiny. I've had so much fun talking about this game. Now in the coming days and weeks I'll be able to transfer that fun into gameplay. It will be awesome to Become Legend with a new group of friends!

I couldn't imagine playing MM alone. I need my backpacks with me.

To share a common purpose. A lot of people instantly assume that all clans are directed towards competitive multiplayer. There a many who are explorers and crafters, completionists and collectors.

My friends don't play destiny, so I have to find other cool people

Just started a new clan for Australian gamers so that you always have someone to play with when you are online, I've got nothing against other countries I'm starting this because it's difficult to be online at the same time because of different time zones and the fact that most other players live so far away. Feel free to join and if you want to just search AustralianGuardiansUnite. Apart from that see all you fellow guardians in the beta

It is a complex concept, joining a clan. You are binding yourself to a group and its image. One Positive for sure, is if you dont know many gamers, it is a great networking tool that allows you to meet new people and develop friendships. Having people to play with is an obvious perk. But it gives u a sense of belonging. I know without my friends that i have developed through gaming/clans/b.net/reddit that i dont know if i would play as often. I certainly enjoy the banter and sense of comradery that develops between you and your clanmates.

I agree, I have started my first clan with Destiny in which one of my childhood friends is in, and a family member of his. I do not mind other players that I have seen around in multiple forums either that I know play for similar reasons as I do.

Joining clans are a good way of making friends. I tend to branch out of the clans when I make a few good friends there or too many people join.

i was (and still kinda am in a clam i still play with 5 out of 15 of them) we met in a black ops 1 game they backed out we partied up and we played with each other steady for 3 years but i personally feel that thats how a clan should meet spontaneously not on a forum advertising, im not saying that would never work but i just feel u cant advertise for true friends(id love to hear some rebutle or stories proving to me otherwise preferably from an intelligent person who wont insult me in the first sentence for my opinion)
