is the DS4 good for shooters?
I imagine it is since Bungie helped design it. What are your opinions on the sticks, trigger and grip of the controller for FPS's

I love it and I have been playing with Xbox controller since the original and hated the d2 and d3. When playing Destiny it felt like I had been using the DS4 for years. My only complaints is are I wish they would just say left trigger and left bumper and right trigger and right bumper instead of l1 and l2 and r1 and r2. It confuses me sometime lol. And I hated when deadnation decided to use l1 and r1 to aim and shoot didn't seem natural

2 RepliesI prefer the DS4 over the Xbox One controller. Controllers are shit for FPS in general though so you're essentially choosing between two turds. Unless, of course, you're playing a racing game or some 3rd person RPG.

3 RepliesI have to say, it isn't as big a leap from Xbox 360 to the Dualshock 4. The Controller is so much better than the Dualshock 3 for the PS3. If I had to be completely objective about choosing the best controller for console, it would have to be a tie with 360 and PS4. The triggers on the 360 have held up well, and though the PS4 fixed theirs for the better, its still not as good as the 360s. But the PS4 has a better feel in the hand, only because it doesn't have a battery pack right at your finger tips. The D-Pad is also very good on the PS4, and it just makes the 360s seem worthless. Touch control is also something of a nice touch, but the major draw back in the PS4 controller would have to be the battery life, and the second annoyance would be the LED. This leads me to a tie, only because I can fix the battery life issue by using a 1800mAh Dualshock 3 battery in the DS4. The LED can be dimmed in the settings on PS4, but not very dim. I didn't include the Xbox One controller because the LB and RB buttons are a step back in my opinion, and really hurt the feel for me. Also, build quality on the Day One edition controllers is very poor, with spring sounds, and squeaks coming from the D-pad and buttons. I would use a 360 controller over an Xbox One controller on a PC game if that gives you an idea. The PS4 controller isn't perfect, but its a big step up from the Dualshock 1-2-3.

I played with it at Best Buy and it felt like heaven, too bad I don't have le money.

When it comes down To controllers,it's really all based on Opinion and personal preference. Unless its the DS3,those analog sticks were Horrible.

It's infinitely better than every DS before it, and is a good controller, but I'd still say that the XB1's controller is better.

DS4 is fine for fps. It's honestly a really good controller overall. The DS3 was garbage and I played with it for years. The 360 controller and DS4 are the best, fight me.

I haven't ever used any of the other PlayStation Controllers so I have no reference but playing Destiny worked just fine for me. It still feels weird but that goes away once you're actually doing something with it.

I like the the controller a lot for FPS. It feels much better than the DS3. If you're coming from the the 360's controller it may take some getting use to. ... In truth.. I'm no help as I'm a fan of both.
