Hunter or Warlock? Help Me!
At first, I was sure I wanted a Warlock. Before we knew what we knew today about Destiny. I assumed that Warlocks had real magic to use at their disposal instead of just Nova Bomb and Radiance. I still thought Warlocks were the best after learning this, but all of that changed after watching E3 demo after E3 demo. I like the Hunter a whole lot now. With badass armor, stealth, and agility focuses, I'm not sure whether to play mainly as a Warlock or a Hunter. Nova Bomb or Ghost Gun? Radiance or Arc Blade? Stealth or magic? Tell me what you think I should do and why in the comments below. Thanks, Guardians!

4 RepliesSo, it looks like Nova Bomb is better than Ghost Gun, I prefer Arc Blade to Radiance, the Hunter has better armor, the Warlock has better health regen, the Hunter has homing grenades,the Warlock has those awesome black hole grenades, and the Hunter's double jump is better than the Warlock's glide. I'm still completely torn. I guess I'll just have to see which suits me better in the beta.

I think I'm going with hunter because I like Golden Gun and Arc Blade, double jump, the grenades, the throwing knives, and the armor better.

1 ReplyGo with both. Play each around same amount of time. Eventually you will start playing one more than the other and not even realize it. This should help you figure out which one you are more drawn to. Good luck.

Because: you have to aim to use the golden gun and you can miss your three shots, with the nova bomb is harder to miss, and the nova bomb has a variant the axiom bolt which is three smaller nova bombs that allows you to have more area of effect, the arc blade looks cool but the warlock has some melee attacks based on magic and if you like a support style you can also use a warlock because it has radiance and the combination glide nova bomb/axiom bolt is good against: large groups of enemies and devil walkers either trying to destroy its legs or shooting the critical spot or kind of brain I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU !

I agree with stark, though the titan is more of a close combat style fighter. I am in love with it but, the Hunter I like for sniping and melee. The golden gun does kinda suck but he makes up for it with his grenade style and the Amor adds that can make your super usable more often.

I have played the game and leveled every type of character multiple times and I first thought the hunter would be the one for me. After playing the hunter I didn't feel like it was good or bad, it was pretty neutral for me. After my hunter experience I played a warlock and instantly hated the movement mode because it is pretty crap compared to a double jump (I'm excited because the hunter can get a triple jump!). But the nova bomb felt much better than the golden gun because I didn't have to think about it much. Just push in the bumpers and let it fly rather than activating and aiming at enemies very carefully. Also the nova bomb can hit tons of enemies while you might not even be able to kill one enemy with the golden gun. But then I played the titan. The titan's movement mode had a nice place between the hunter and the warlock and it gets an upgrade that makes it go higher. the fist of havoc has a nice way of closing distance while leaving the user feeling powerful. Overall I really like the titan and Warlock because their super can actually become something else while the hunter is always stuck with the same golden gun. It's upgrades are just making it more accurate, makes enemies explode, and the cooldown is reduced. Maybe the cooldown is reduced enough to make it a real contender with the others. But the Alpha isn't nearly enough to figure out which character I really want to play because you cannot currently get all of the upgrades. TL;DR you have to play them all Edit: The hunter's scavenger perk is cool because the more ammo you pick up the more often you can throw grenades and knives
