Forum Ninja's - Destiny Alpha AMA + Twitch Live Streams
Obviously a ton of people from the community have been playing the Alpha, including your friendly forum ninjae. So we all decided to make a dedicated thread for any impatient people to ask specific questions about the game.
Some basic information: The Alpha is set on Earth and has a level cap of 8. It has one campaign mission, one Strike, a free-roam mode of Old Russia and 2 multiplayer maps (one smaller map called Rusted Lands, and one big team map on the moon). So obviously you won't see any information on Mars, Venus or other higher level stuff.

(Ex: 20-4) this will tell me the average skill level of multiplayer. Are the sparrows/pikes useful for anything other than escaping/entering battle? Splattering seemed pointless and I haven't seen any of them shoot yet. Are sniper rifles like Halo CE? (As in no bullet drop and easy headshots) What do you think is the most successful class in the two maps thus far? Hip firing seems like it would be extremely easy, judging from the tightness of the crosshairs. Is it? I have seen people try to iron sight and fail miserably. The pace seems somewhere between CoD and BF4. True or not?
