I hope they don't have fast travel, otherwise it will ruin the feel of an open world exploration.
Yes I agree there would obviously be fast travel between planets, however if say we need to travel from one zone to another on earth then I would prefer to use a 'flight path' in our ships or manually get there using a sparrow. If we can teleport instantly then there would be no need to leave the city to encounter everything.
Basically what I'm saying is: I hope it's like World Of Warcraft. Teleport / Hearthstone used to teleport to different planets. Flight paths without loading screens between zones / areas.
If the setup is like World Of Warcraft in Destiny, I can see Destiny growing and growing for years to come. However if they allow fast travel like Guild Wars then it will evidentially be boring and a flop with no real community feeling to it.
Discuss: Thoughts? Do you want this to be an FPS MMO style game, or are you more interested in casual gaming with fast action?

That's why it would be a choice and you would have to discover a location before you able to fast travel to it like every other game that utilizes it. I still choose to walk or ride to certain locations in Skyrim for the immersion. Others will do the same. You wouldn't be forced to do it.

FastTravel for a single player game is acceptable for going between zones like in Skyrim, otherwise you would be shit bored :p Here in Destiny we have shit happening in the outside world and can encounter events. If fasttravel was used for zones then we will never have people in the barren land to help come and conquer it, people would stay in the city and just instantly teleport to their Raid entrance (for example) and skipping out the journey where they come across people and world events.

Nvm your right, I forgot about public events, but the sparrows/shrikes will hopefully go very fast, so if I were to lone wolf it wouldnt take forever

I think that fast travel will be bad too, and a FPS MMO is better for sure :)
