Cannot change my ID or Username
Description: When I save the changes made to my ID and username, I am told the name is already taken, no matter what name I put in the field.
Repro Steps:
1.) open safari
2.) go to http://www.bungie.net/
3.) login to account
4.) go to settings
5.) click on "About me"
6.) enter the name I wish to have
7.) press "save"
Result: A message pops up saying that the name is already taken, followed by the number 200
in parentheses.
Expected Result: That my username and ID will be changed to what I put in the field.
Notes: Once, my username and ID DID change, but only for a couple of hours and it changed back. No matter what I type in, the message ALWAYS pops up, even with random characters that don't spell or mean anything.
OS: OS X 10.5.8

6 RepliesWhen attempting to change your unique ID to something, it has to be just that. Unique. The error that is occurring is likely happening because the name you are trying to pick is already taken as a Unique name. Also be aware that there is a restriction on editing your unique name (I believe this is set at 7 days) Display names on the other hand are not unique, and you can set that to whatever you please.
