Simple question with no third option. Do you think that current Western culture, at some level, tells men that they are entitled to women? (Had to shorten the title) Explain, if you want. Edit 5/30: Question 2: Do you think our society is misogynistic?

In modern society, it is all about either Dorothy from wizard of oz or a Disney Princess who needs a man to be happy. Little Boys are not given a role model like girls to base things such as "love" on and therefore look to the films meant for teenagers/adults (not sex) like Star Wars. Because of this, they are taught that they are suppose to overcome evil and be rewarded with a beautiful maiden. When they reach adulthood with this mentality, sex is added to the equation. The problem is, a woman's affection (still not talking about the two backed beast) is something that needs to be earned. Here is a hypothetical (Not my hypothetical, but relevant) you see two lovers walking down the street and one of them gets shot, you pull out your handy dandy pocket knife and crouch down to save the dying person. While you are doing this, the dying person's lover is asking what kind of experience you have, you have none. Why would they want you to do it, if a nice handsome surgeon is standing right behind you. This is relationships and why egotistical entitlement is what causes our Fedora toting friends like Elliot to shoot people. -Qwerty the Great
