I use the term constantly, but today a friend's new girlfriend got a little pissed when she heard it.
I certainly don't want to offend, so I come to you. Am I a sexist pig?

Why is it so hard to call women by their name?

Edited by drummer0702: 5/27/2014 10:09:05 PMI think "chick" is an odd term to use. It is something that isn't in my vocabulary at all. I just call my female friends by name.

Where did you get pig in all of this?
I thought we were talking about chickens here.......
-
She's an anomaly. I equate it to a guy being offended for being called "dude".

1 ReplyYou're not gonna hear from any ladies on here

Nope. I don't see why that would be considered sexist, either.
-
The only reason I don't say it is because I literally imagine the said person as a chicken, and it gets really awkward for me.
-
If it does they should go see a Doctor about a possible case of Posterior Ravaging.
-
Not really. Is the term dude, or guy offensive? She's being an overly sensitive -blam!-.
-
but today a friend's new girlfriend got a little pissed when she heard it.
Probably because she's a baby chicken and can't control her bladder.
-
why would it be?

Sounds like she's uptight. It's no different than calling a guy "dude" and you don't see men throwing fits about it. If you do please advise them to trade in their D-Card for a V-Card. Anyways, like I said. She sounds like a PITA and should be avoided. You're not a sexist pig. Go drink a beer and smash the can against your forehead.
-
No, she's just a feminazi.
-
Depends on who you talk to.

I don't see why it would. It's just like "guy" or "man" No, you're not a sexist pig.
