Why Do People Take Pride In Being "MLG"?
Seriously, MLG has only been focused around casual games made for casual people. It doesn't take a immense amount of skill or practice to be good at a game like Halo or CoD. I can understand taking pride in how you play, but you don't have to show it to everyone else as if it's a trophy.
By MLG I'm referring to the vocal a-holes that talk crap to everyone else, not the real pros.

10 RepliesI find the whole MLG community to be useless and a disgrace to gaming in general. Last year, just to prove to my MLG-enthusiast friend how stupid the whole MLG thing is, I signed up on the MLG website. All you have to do is link your gamertag, and bam, you're "MLG". Whenever I would do good in some MP game, I'd pull the MLG card and be like, "Yeah, [friend's name], maybe if you were MLG, like me, you could do this well, too." I found it funny and it pissed him off. XD

I'm a normal guy with a good job who does great in life, but my average k/d in both of those games is a 0.5 and I've been playing both franchises since their first game. I've been punished by 12 year olds. Those games really [b][i]do[/i][/b] take an immense amount of skill or practice to be good at. They think being better in a virtual world makes up for the fact that others use their time more wisely. Also, most are Tryhards who think they're good, but are in fact poo poo. I point to this video of a squeakier as my example.
