Ghost Bot: annoying voice, but best friend?
Hi again,
I have always loved having a "pet" in games. From the videos I watched, the ghost bots voice isn't my favorite...I'm hoping we can change this to a female voice if we wanted.
Also, does anyone know if we can make it attack things or if it will evolve or change and have special abilities?

From the looks of it it doesn't seem like customizing our little data orb droid-thing, or ghost will be available off the bat. However, maybe further down the field there might be a chance of catching the ball and throwing a DLC in for an out, which would be an non-customizable data droid-orb. In summary, It probably won't be free for interchangeable design at launch, but may see a post-launch content release. Though it is obvious, the game would be more interesting if the ghost could be modified. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Note: This is not an official statement. Since Bungie is going for the best friend mentality with the Ghost, it makes sense that they'd choose a male voice for their predominantly male playerbase. If they made it female, there'd be a sort of romantic drama to the relationship (I.E. Cortana).

i personally like cortana voice from halo. got use to it after all those games. and also just in general a female voice, to me, is just better like my phone, gps, all have female voices. if i were to change anything to the voice it would be the accent. what do you think? i dont care for abilities from the ghost, i doubt it would do much to save me anyways if it could attack. im more interested in customizing it, changing the color of its light. like how someone would change their headlights on their car. i would want a blueish tint or something to that extent of customizing. that ways my ghost is not like anyone elses ghost.

2 RepliesI like the voice, and 's likely a VI not an AI. So it wouldn't have emotion in its voice, as those are normally organic or AI traits. "Ghost" is like Glyph from Mass Effect, monotone emotionless VI, but get humor (ME3 Citadel DLC) by his simple minded programming.

It's customizable but they haven't explained in detail. I assume you could just change the pitch of the voice.

It should be like the GPS systems now, where you can buy voices for your GPS. My friend got a Snoop Dog GPS voice.
