Too Halo 4-ey or impractical?
Personally I think it looks fantastic. I can't wait to see the customizable armor in the multiplayer.

Edited by Tokyocity: 5/21/2014 8:26:28 PMThe helmet is ugly I dont like the chest plate all that much Other than that it looks okay. Much better than halo 4 I do agree with others below of it being too sci-fi or power ranger-ey But the armour seems to fit the role of being a specialized oni agent.
-
It looks nice. I don't like the helmet much though. But I haven't liked many of the helmets in the last few halo games just because they all remind me power rangers.

30 RepliesWould've preferred this

It looks badass. Nothing was wrong with the style of the armor in halo 4, it was just that the armor itself is ugly. There were so many ugly helmets in halo 4.....
-
It looks a lot like Halo 4's armour. And I didn't like Halo 4's armour.
-
To sleek? Idk...kinda looks more like ki-lang from ME3 (with a helmet) than a Spartan.
-
7 RepliesI think Red Team in Halo Wars got it right: the tank-like armor seems more grounded. The newer armor drifts more towards a fantasy/sci-fi aesthetic.

2 RepliesEdited by Shdooby: 5/21/2014 6:34:59 PMOnce I saw, I never unsaw. It's all I see when I see the ONI Insignia.
My sides have left the atmosphere!
I liked the way it looked in 4, but it's slowly losing the real world roots original Halo had. It seems like it's pure Sci-fi now.
-
When I look at it, I think ONI. So yeah, it's pretty good.
-
Shows they have paid a lick of attention to feedback on armor in Halo 4.
-
It's look good, I just really hope the customization is better than Halo 4.
-
It's disgusting.

Edited by MadGinger16: 5/21/2014 4:58:21 PMI think it looks slick, but doesn't hold a torch to the Mark VI.
-
It looks good overall, especially the helmet. Bit honestly its too MJOLNIR Gen 2 for me. I prefer the first gen waaaaaaaaay over the new one Spartan IV's use.
-
I've been a fan of ONI since Bungie made them(a bit exaggerated but still). They're the equivalent of the CIA, but more badass and created the spartan III's and the headhunter program. I still enjoy reading about them in the books or the wikia. So about the armor, it's badass I'd say.

I still say that cave is not a natural formation. For a male, anyway

6 RepliesEdited by Sandtrap: 5/18/2014 3:17:21 AMI'd just like to go back to ye old times of our uniform, green super soldiers. You know, you could always throw attatchments on to the regular suit without having to make an entire new one. Too power-rangery. Maybe I'm just stuck up, but I don't see spartans as looking like anything else other than Mark 4,5, and 6. I'm fine with the customizeable stuff in MP, but when they brought it into single player, it lost its charm. In general, putting the MP into the lore was a mistake.

People say he's too curvy compared to chief. Chief is a spartan II and they are more bulky, look at Jorge compared to his spartan III squad mates. The ONI spartan is most likely a spartan IV, it makes perfect sense.

6 RepliesAs soon as they finished developing that suit, ONI went out and gathered teenagers with attitude to wear it.

22 RepliesIt's not terrible, but the armor really needs to fit into the universe again. And I think the armor from Reach fit perfectly. No more candy coated paint, flawless straight off the assembly line plastics! We need dirty heavy metal!
-
I think it looks good. In game models are always a whole different deal though :/

3 RepliesHelmet loooks .... alright but the actual armour looks too cleean and shiny . Chestpiece looks weird . They should go back to reaches gritty wartorn look
-
Looks spec opsey
-
Well, the chestpiece looking bland with little side protection, and that it goes down to the crotch without stopping for flexibility(if that piece can bend, which it looks like maybe it could, then why only have it cover a small area of the body?). And the shoulders confuse me, doesn't look like there's any armor on them, but at the same time it looks like there's a little. It also looks like it's impossible for him to lift his left arm up to a T-pose. Helmet is an okay shape, but looks unnecessarily over-detailed. Way too many angles/carvings/inlays/edges for any good purpose, makes Halo 3 MK. VI's legs look undetailed.
