On Saturday, we ran a story based on a Sony claim that Watch Dogs runs at 1080p and 60 frames per second on PlayStation 4. Yesterday, Sony quietly amended the product listing featuring the claim to remove the visual specifications. Now, Ubisoft is commenting on the matter.
Watch Dogs will run at 900p, 30 frames per second on PlayStation 4 and 792p, 30 frames per second on Xbox One. “Resolution is a number, just like framerate is a number," says creative director Jonathan Morin. "All those numbers are valid aspects of making games."
3 RepliesI probably won't switch over to PS4 because it has slightly better graphics. All my friends are here on Xbone, and I've been an Xbot for 10 years. I'm not going to abandon my account for better graphics.

1 Reply*Plays game on PC* What's happening in this thread?
-
Meanwhile, Wii U has been getting 1080p @60FPS cleanly in every big game announced.
-
5 RepliesStill find it funny that people didn't give a shit about FPS and resolution until after "next gen" hit.
-
2 RepliesSony was seriously cocky about being superior. Next gen consoles are a joke.
-
2 RepliesThere is a 360 version right? What's the difference with the One version?
-
4 RepliesPS4 @ 900p/30FPS XB1 @ 792p/30FPS (and probably less) PC has to deal with uPlay. Nobody wins. Also, this
"Resolution is a number, just like framerate is a number"
is dumb on so many levels.

1 Reply>mfw games look exactly the same on pse and x1 >mfw people find petty excuses to justify their brand keep it up gamers
-
2 RepliesThat's disappointing, but I lost all hype for this game so I probably won't pick it up.
-
11 RepliesXbox still lagging behind? Unsurprising.
-
1 ReplyJust like frame rate is a number? What the -blam!-, its 2014?!
-
10 RepliesFolks, if you bought a PC for $400 you wouldn't play new games 1080p @ 60 fps on a regular basis. But yeah, disappointed at the 792p resolution for XBO... at least I would if I only had a 720p TV to play it on. =P

3 RepliesEdited by Derp: 5/14/2014 12:32:34 AMManaged to find an Xbox One gameplay screenshot. Still looks fine... Not sure what everyone is complaining about. Edit: Note: This is after the Cloud, as you will notice by the clouds in the background.

17 RepliesI can't help but feel cheated. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to play and (hopefully) enjoy the game. I was just hoping to play the best looking game on next-gen. But it no longer has that title. Second Son has it.
-
I don't understand, Drive Club is a steady 30fps and still 1080p and looks better than Watch Dogs, the systems were capable of achieving higher resolution with a locked steady frame rate, they -blam!-ed up.
-
792p? What's the -blam!-ing point? I guess if that's the max they could crank out of the One, that's the point.
-
3 RepliesEdited by frankw00ds: 5/13/2014 8:54:15 PMMan, -blam!- the xbone. I don't know why I still own the damn thing. Guess I'm just waiting for halo 5 (to utterly disappoint me) 792p on a "next gen" console? That's fucķing pathetic. The ps4 doesn't get away with anything either but 900p is at least acceptable.
-
3 RepliesAaaaaaaaaaaand -blam!- this game, you might as well buy it on the 360 and ps3 seeing how shitty the graphics are for the PS4 and Xboxone.
-
1 Reply*plays on PC* Why does this surprise you? Plus its all about the gameplay man.
-
Less than 1080p? Disappointing.
-
Pretty sad when these are supposed to be the "next gen" of consoles and we can't get 60fps.
-
Both under 1080p disappointing, and not even running at 60 fps. Boy this new gen of consoles was a big step up wasn't it.....
-
Well, the game is phone-based. Can't expect the highest resolution then, can we?
-
Xbox still sucks lol
