So, apparently it won't be running at those settings anymore.

15 RepliesEdited by Derp: 5/15/2014 2:00:36 PMGuys it's fine. The human eye can't register 1080p or 60fps. Edit: I can't believe i need to say this, but please note this was a joke.

Wasn't going to get it anyways

11 RepliesStop limiting yourselves and get a PC.

3 RepliesTo be honest this is extremely silly. Microsoft and Sony should have thought about 1080p/60fps when designing their consoles. I'm lead to believe they did it to save costs but it's still frustrating.

Here's a newer source with the actual resolutions and frame rates. PS4: 900p, 30fps X1: 792, 30fps Honestly, the game will look fine on both.

3 RepliesYou have to admit, it's straight up ridiculous that both consoles can't handle Full HD when 720p displays are vanishing from the market and we're on the cusp of 4K. It's not even "muh graphix" or "muh FPS". MS and Sony both expect this generation to last the better part of a decade, yet six months after launch, these consoles are already failing to match the display resolution of the $200 piece of crap TV sitting in the corner of my bedroom. Watch Dogs admittedly looks good, but not good enough to stress so-called new hardware to its limits less than a year into the generation. Hell, just compare that to the original Xbox, which was geared up for broadband and HD when everyone was still on dial up. It'll upscale to 1080i and work on any modern TV without a hitch twelve years after launch.

They can't maintain the graphic quality of the previous gen while turning up frame rate and resolution?

As a post on Eurogamer said, "Any Self Respecting PS4 owner won't play that sub 1080p trash." Pretty much sums up PS4 fanboys at this point. It was a really funny dig.

Well I'm not going to comment anything witty because they're going to change it a couple times again to -blam!- with everyone

1 Reply900p/30FPS on PS4, 792p/30FPS on XBO.
The game also looks great on both generations of consoles. On new-gen systems the game will run at 900p on PS4 and 792p on Xbox One, at 30 frames-per-second on both consoles. While some new-gen games now offer native 1080p, Morin says it’s much more important to deliver an amazing next-gen experience than it is to push a few more pixels onto a screen. “Resolution is a number, just like framerate is a number. All those numbers are valid aspects of making games,” he says. “But you make choices about the experience you want to deliver. In our case, dynamism is everything. Exploration and expression are everything. You want to have a steady framerate, but you want to have dynamism at the core of the experience. The same goes with resolution. People tend to look at corridor shooters, for example, where there’s a corridor and all the effects are on and it’s unbelievable, and they forget that if you apply those same global effects to an open city with people around and potential car crashes and guys in multiplayer showing up without warning, the same effect is applied to a lot of dynamic elements that are happening in every frame. So it becomes magnified in cost.”
http://blog.ubi.com/watch-dogs-next-gen-game-resolution-dynamism/

11 RepliesCheck your sources, the video even says that the information was taken down.

10 RepliesDoes Watch_Dogs require you to make legit 720 no scope triple kills? I don't really see any difference between 30 and 60 for just walking through a world, it only shows when you are swirling around gunning things down.

7 RepliesEdited by Orion: 5/13/2014 10:00:57 AMThis is why next gen consoles are an absolute joke. But some of you will still defend it. Does any "next gen" game run at 1080p 60fps yet? I'm curious, because I've been used to this standard for a while now. Yeah, it's called PC.

15 RepliesI don't think they would lie, that would piss a lot of people off(more than there are already) and it's been speculated for months that Watch Dogs runs at 1080p. My guess is the page contained the Xbone information(that on Xbox One it only runs at 960p and 30fps) and people are mad once again that the Xbox can't compete, or that PS4 only runs at 30fps.
