Why do people pick Warlock over the Titan?
Why dont people like the titan. In my opinion the warlock doesnt seem strong. [b][u]Note: i said in [i]my opinion. [/i][/u][/b]The titan will get in your face and punch it. I will [b]shoulder bardge[/b] you in the balls. My titan will live by one rule. [i]When reason doesnt work, use brute force. [/i] [b]# Titan[/b] This post is to see what people like in the Warlock. Im not dissing the class. I like the class it seems cool. I just want to know why. [spoiler]and hunters unless you have some good points to make. Just read and go. Dont respond with follish comments. I picked warlock for the mobility and recovery speed. I like to play fast and I can't wait to see blink in action.

This is like asking why people in other RPG games play mages instead of warriors. It's because that's what they like. They like ranged supers, they like fancy magic grenades, being able to revive from the dead or buff themselves. That's all there is to it.

2 RepliesI'm going to stay with my choice and be a formidable Titan [X] couple of months in, people will make the mistake and underestimate the Titans mighty power. They will soon learn to run away when the titans charge in and destroy anything in there wake. One thing I'm looking forward to is when you catch a "camping sniper" and shoulder charge them off the map.

2 RepliesThe Warlock is a pretty powerful class. Their Nova bomb is strong as is, but they can upgrade it to make it launch three at once, seek targets, travel faster and further, etc. But despite them having, arguably, the best super, I decided I'd go with, and stick with, the Hunter. Mainly because I always play rogue/ranger/thief classes in RPGs, and I just generally like everything about the Hunter except their helmets.

Regeneration is amazing, get hit hide behind corner for a second and bam back to full health, that and you have some great CC for locking down paths with void grenade. Nova bomb is pretty much a ranged fist of havoc's so that's nice as well. Plus who doesn't wanna be a space wizard?

I picked Titan over the two. It's what I'll main. But that doesn't mean I don't like Warlock or Hunter play or think they are weaker. They were all so great. Just that, Titan felt more natural for me, and I liked it a tiny bit more than the other two (because of the super). But I will play all 3 eventually as time allows (different playstyles to master = not boring at all).

I like them all because each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Each has their own unique physical appearance dictated by the 80/20, 50/50, 20/80 armor:cloth ratio. I like one for all the armor. I like the other for all the cloth material that allows for the cool cape and hood. And the other for the nice armor/cloth balance that allows for a nice Matrix-type coat. One has the ability to shoulder-slam you like a meteors landing in from of you. One has a freaking awesome flame-spewing insta-kill handgun. The other has an explosive purple kame-hame-ha that will in incinerate you into oblivion. Leaving nothing of you behind. Not even your memories. Stop this non-sense of which class is better and why. I didn't buy the Hunter-class, or the Warlock-class, or the Titan-class game. I bought DESTINY. All the classes are GODLY when played by a good player. All classes are weak when played by an inexperienced or bad player. The weapon is not OP, it's the player behind the controller. Back in the day I owned players as Jiggily Puff in Super Smash Bros for N64. Was JP OP? Hell no! It was me being better than the other player using Link, Kirby or Falcon. I will create one of each character, give them names and write their stories. Don't hate them for their differences. Love them because they are different.

I have played as all three and I perfected the warlock because of the explode on impact grenades this makes it easier to get kill and the quick regain is helpfully while in a gun fight if you break his lines. The class also has the power full blast of the fist of havoc and some range from golden gun so you don't have to get that close. And I like the jump it's like the titans but it last longer and I will quote seek but [quote][quote]i like felling like and orbital war-sate flying over the map [/quote][/quote] and with a rocket launch you can be. What I feel the Titan lacks is that control of the warlocks jump and it sounds silly but the speed also its east lay then you have that to take advantage of people not paying attention or run and gun situations.

I chose the warlock for 2 reasons. 1. Warlock grenades, and Super ability. Both of these are great at crowd control. I can't tell you how many times I boxed enemies into a a corner only for my fireteam to lay them to waste. 2. Because every other major FPS game has roles very similar to the Titan an Hunter. The Titan is basically a magic Master Chief. The hunter is the precision fighter, meaning their super and their knife throw are both just basic FPS attacks. They both have amazing talents in their own right, don't get me wrong. I just find them to be very recognizable and common compared to the Warlock. So basically, I chose the Warlock because it's different from most FPS static characters. I find that thrilling and I want to see what the Warlock has to offer. Hope that explains my take on the subject.

I ran all three characters during the alpha and beta. The Hunter was eliminated during the alpha. It was a 50/50 split between the titan and the warlock. I just found that the warlock suited my play style more for this game which is surprising because I'm usually an up close and personal type of player. I use shotguns in battlefield and unless you're right on the enemy they suck. I also think the warlock has more potential with the angry magic and teleportation abilities. I did like the titans but that aoe damage by the warlock just puts them on top for me.

Honestly, as a titan I'd prefer everyone and anyone to pick what class THEY want to be. The less titans I see, the better I'll feel about being one. Not many people want to get their hands wet with the blood of the fallen, I however look forward to it. Let mages be mages, hunters be hunters. Time to move on.

I prefer Warlock in PvE and Hunter in PvP and I'll try to explain why I liked them over my Titan. PvE: Basically, I think guardians suck at hand-to-hand combat. Go punch a captain in the face and you'll see why. The "up close and personal" approach to PvE only ends badly for me, especially when we start talking about bosses. Because of this I moved on to the classes with a longer range melee (hunters knife and Warlock's melee are the longest range melees and can out range most enemy melees) and a longer range super. Between the Hunter and Warlock, the Warlock has a better grenade for PvE and a better super. The massive amount of AoE a Warlock can expel is wonderful in PvE scenarios and I chose the Warlock over the Hunter and Titan for PvE. PvP: Here the class difference are pretty small (based on the beta, I'm sure it'll be different once we get both subclasses and level 20). The only reason I chose the Hunter is because the Hunter's super has the best chance of getting multiple kills and the double jump is fast and agile, making me harder to hit.

I like all classes, but there's an order. Warlocks fit my normal style better. Medium Ranged damage dealer. I'll play titan when I feel like falcon punching everything. And that blade dancer for hunters changed my idea about the class. I thought they were going to be deep range, but this threw that idea out the window. But back to the original question I'm going warlock for the reasons already stated and that robe is awesome.
