I'm not into clans, they tend to incorporate other games. I pick a game ( a large one ) and stick with it. I'm on the PS4, currently playing FF14. I have signed up for the beta and intend to test this game and my character before the launch. I like your post. I like to explore. I like the name " Explorers guild" I think I would like to join. I'm a mature ( old ) casual gamer. I play 9:30ish till 11:30ish week nights eastern central time. I play more on weekends. We have a way to go yet. Till beta. I will be in touch. Count me in.

  • One of the disadvantages of being a new (active) member of the Bungie community (or, I guess an active member of any gaming community in this case) is my lack of clan-based knowledge. But it does (and I'll certainly take your word for it) seem that clans are multi-game based. I do play other games (nothing, currently, for the PS4, but that's more of a circumstance thing than a lack of a desire) but -- even if Destiny wasn't meant to be a series-based franchise, which it is; with Bungie signed up for at least 10 years (I think it was?) -- I'd still prefer that this clan (group?) be specific to Destiny. It's better for branding and, more importantly; a singular focus for the group equals a better experience for the group. I'll post a few extra ideas I've had since the initial post now, in thread proper. Welcome, DanBoom65. Glad to have your interest. You're very to-the-point. I like that.

  • Thx. The term guild seems to fit better for the game. I am interested to see what Bungie has in store for us. In FF14 we formed FCs ( Free Companies ) it was a part of the game. FCs had advantages and perks. I don't rush any game, I like the exploration, and testing my limits in open worlds.

  • A game has to be really, really good to keep me around -- but sometimes, when the stars align, I find that kind of game -- and when I do, I completely agree. Constant exploration, and testing my limits. I'm really eager to see what Bungie's been cooking for us as well.
