Skyrim Loot , or Borderlands Loot?

They said the loot system would be private streamed , and that they don't like borderlands million gun system so how will it work ? Would we have to find them in chest or buy them in shops like Skyrim ? Or would we have to collect them from fallen enemy's and chest like borderlands? My main question is how would the loot system work ?

 • They mean private stream as in when you kill stuff everyone has their own drops that no one else has access to. In many MMORPGS there are raids that you spend a long time on and if you are with randoms there is the possibility of them taking all the loot and running. This prevents that. By not liking Borderlands gun system they mean they don't like how every gun is just a bunch of parts randomly put together by a computer program. In Destiny the guns, while still using some of the same parts on guns, are all made by a person. Every gun is unique in that a person not a computer program chose what part goes where. As far as loot goes IDK about chest but I do know that you will get drops as you kill things that contain glimmer, other resources to lower super CD, and sometimes guns/armor.

 • Their explanation of loot is interesting. It is not like Borderlands. Where you can get a million different types of weapons, with most being useless. They have not said anything about shops. I would guess your loot comes from Missions/Quests and Bosses. Their brief statements about loot have clarified that they want less loot to drop. They do this because they have put in place an investment system. So with the weapon you have you invest time into making it better. A great example is from the 2013 E3 gameplay reveal. It shows a Thunderlord and its skill tree (the investment system). I really like how this system sounds. It means that I can have my favourite rifle/pistol/ar and the more time I invest into it, the better it gets. Rather than using the flavour of the week or what is the best for my current level.

 • Both but to me the game seem like a mix of skyrim and borderlands1&2

 • Loot drops will occur from Mobs, bosses and I assume after Completion of Missions, but it will be for you alone - private, so No NINJA looting. Also they said every drop should be meaningful and a worthwhile upgrade and not piles of junk like in every other RPG. We have also seen chests that can be looted & they have hinted NPC's in the city will sell items too. Pretty standard stuff if you have played RPG games.
