The community had some severe problems long before the update. The update seems to be tailored to fix some of those problems. We can debate if it was successful, though that is really irrelevant. Saying that DeeJ himself and/or Bungie and the update are the genesis for the problems in this community is absurd. It's true they provide the platform for the community, but how the community reacts and literally what its made of is all on us. Dezarath is right, ultimately the community being shitty is the community's fault. Our fault. Continuing to deny that and scapegoat Bungie will just make extend the shittiness for longer and longer. We need to take responsibility and do something about it ourselves. The problem is; I don't know how to fix it short of a hard-permanent ban for at least half of us.
