I am curious to what the community thinks. Halo Reach had been the cauldron mix of all the good things that Halo had learned, plus some new things as always. Halo 4 did have some great things it brought to the table as well. After hearing some news that more people play Reach than Halo 4, I got curious. So, I dusted off the Reach Disc and placed it in the tray and gave it a whirl. Without going into too much detail, the gameplay feel was amazing, and the game was more fun. Though the game was most fun when: your team didn't quit out; teammates werent killing you for a sniper; sit in the infamous "black screen" due to lag/host; and when everyone was NOT armed with the DMR. Majority of the matches had more surprises that were not hyper matches like Halo 4 can be. Also why in tarnation did Halo 4 for get rid of the Falcon! Wtf was up with that?!?
I dont know. Let me know what you think.
Update: The question I am really looking to u d'état and is do you like Bungie's style of gameplay vs 343 's style of Halo. I don't care as much about the opinions of the game itself. That's the surface of the question.
Also, sorry that apparently this thread has been done before, which doesn't surprise me. I was curious if anyone was able to feel a difference between the 2 games and what you thought was good and bad. Not looking for the trolls who comment with"Halo4 and Reach we're dogshi- " or just blunt statements of "I like this halo game better"

You do know the UU counts of both a publicly available ... why would pepole play H5 over Reach if they liked it less? Not like either have great numbers anyway :(

3 RepliesIs that the beating of a dead horse I hear?

Both games are bad, but reach was much more tolerable. However, I believe in Halo 5. I think 343 will make the next halo a great halo.
-
Reach obliterates Halo 4. Hands down.

1 ReplyHalo 4 multiplayer was made for n00bs in particular, because one person whos sniping does not have the better advantage like in Reach or the others before, until someone gets that x-ray vision then the sniper has no chance. Reach and the others you had to follow the round that the sniper fired at you, if u were lucky enough if the sniper had no accuracy, thats also another thing, Halo 4 sniper rifle had a crapload of recoil, it was like you were drunk firing the rifle, Reach was like a little popgun. But i dont really look for gameplay in games, mean i do but i dont prioritize gameplay as important. Storyline is what works for me, halo 4 didnt make a word of sense, it made more questions than it answered, like "How the hell did he get his shiny new armor, while in cryo for approximately 5 years" But to answer your question, Like Reach instead if you like better gameplay, its more what you are used to really and what you are normally looking forward to anyways. I aint trolling thats my opinion, and im sticking by it no matter what reply that happens to be rude or offensive to me. And i'll also respect the opinions of others Also im new on Bungie Forums, not new (obviously) playing Halo, played it from start to finish Halo Combat Evolved to 3rd including Reach and ODST and they were the best.

1 ReplyI've been saying this since launch: Halo: Reach is a fantastic game, except for armor lock.

Reach all the way.

This can help us understand the difference.

REACH. I PREFER EVERYONE TO HAVE THE SAME STUFF AT START.

1 ReplyNone, for me none where Halo games.

5 RepliesHalo 4 feels like Halo Reach with fewer features, more crap, less polish and more boredom.

Depends on if we're talking multiplayer or campaign. Campaign: 4 > Reach Multi: Reach > 4

2 RepliesEdited by Egerspurge: 4/5/2014 6:28:25 AMReach didn't have Buttface McQuick Time Event.

I prefer Halo 4's campaign, and superior base movement makes the game more fun to play in multi.
-
H4 wins with campaign. Reach had a slightly better MP.

6 RepliesReach was absolute dog shit.

Edited by Jotaro Kujo PhD: 4/5/2014 2:25:49 AMTU Reach alone (preferably the old version) is good enough to stomp all over everything in Halo 4's multiplayer, but it still has a better campaign than Reach. ZB Reach is just awesome.

Custom Games:Reach Campaign:4

27 RepliesEdited by DontBeThatGuy: 4/4/2014 8:56:31 PMHow about both of those Halo games can burn forever in purgatory. Reach was the beginning of the end. Halo 4 was the end. Reach barely feels like Halo. Halo 4 feels NOTHING like a true Halo game. Even though I hated reach I was still able to play to Nova ranking. I barely got to level 35 in Halo 4. Halo 4 is that bad. Halo reach killed Halo by introducing Sprint and taking out the 1-50 rank Halo 4 killed Halo by introducing fully customizable loadouts, Taking weapons off maps, implementing JIP, etc I choose Bungie for making Halo 1-3
