Fun Time Co-hosting Anime Reviewer Discussion

For the Floodian Otaku community, we all have trusted sources for recommending anime, and I would like to expand that trusted community beyond our immediate group with a good discussion/recommendation for anime reviewers. General anime discussion is also welcome. And as that kind of poster, I'll give an example: In case you don't know him, Gigguk on YouTube is the best thing since toothbrush porn. Not only does he made high quality reviews that are both engaging and hilarious, but he also makes some pretty kick ass parodies and interesting rants as well. If you like his channel (and even if you don't) I would also recommend the PodTaku podcast and other reviewers he works with (and you can find them easily from Gigguk's channel). To the video above, what do you guys think about anime becoming mainstream? Is it something you'd like? Personally, I like it being a sort of niche thing, it makes finding interesting people much easier. Also, what the hell happened at the end of Kill La Kill?! Discussion co-hosted by Fun Timer below

  • I wouldnt mind anime becoming mainstream. Though i couldnt goof around with it as much anymore. As for KLK, it was okay. Im more into serious stuff.

      • Meh, anime still isn't that mainstream. It does seem like it's getting more popular each year, but it's still "geeky" enough to where it's not mainstream compared to something like Breaking Bad or even Halo. That being said, I'm starting to get more hooked on it; I'm currently on E7 of Kill La Kill.

Anime went pretty mainstream with Shippuden and the newer Bleach episodes, now, it's pretty much a given that one would be considered a Weaboo for using those shows as "Why I'm considered an Otaku" reasons. While I'm not against anime going mainstream, mainly because I stick more to Manga/Manwha/Light Novels/Visual Novels, I feel like the peek into that era was enough to show that it opens the community to people who have no idea what they're doing.

Kill La Kill is like the hazy adrenaline trip of a pubescent teenager, or that's the impression it gives off, anyway... So it's time, Fun Timers... What did you think of Kill La Kill? WARNING! Anything and everything can be spoiled beyond this point, you've been warned.
I'm starting with Satsuki, is her character change in the last episode indicative of growth, or stagnation in anime tropes, or some other obscure third thing?
