Personally, I think both are more congested than I'd like them to be. My opinion on the xbone, however, is somewhat null because I only got to see it while hanging out in my friend's residence hall.

1 ReplyTheyre not as streamlined as id like. The friends list is unusable for me, i dont even bother checking friends list anymore.

The Xbone UI looks terrible, and looks horrible to navigate through. The PS4 UI looks a lot more streamlined and less of a pain to use. The 360 UI is the best though.

3 RepliesThat's not even the final xbone dashboard. Mine is much less cluttered and I love it!
-
Right now I'd say the PS4 looks cleaner, crisper, and tidier... but there's an X1 update in the offing so dunno.
-
I've only used the xb1 and I don't like it. I never liked the 360s either. I guess Microsoft UIs in general I don't like. I've always had a Mac.
-
1 ReplyDid not like xb1s. Ps4 is to the point
-
1 ReplyXbox = better than ps4 And I've played both
-
3 RepliesI like how they improved PS4's UI from 3's. it was so bad before. But Xbox always wins in the UI battle.

1 ReplyPS4-Too much XBO-Too little

I think that the Xbox One's looks like a windows 8 PC or laptop but is still cool, it's just annoying that it doesn't have a 'feel' of its own in that concept.

3 RepliesI wish we could change the music in the PS4 menu. It's really starting to annoy me.

2 RepliesEdited by FairlySplendid: 3/4/2014 2:53:32 PMDiscussing which UI is better is like debating which language is better: English vs French, Chinese vs Italian, etc, etc.... They are so fundamental different that it boils down to taste and personal preference. They are two completely different answers to the same question. For my taste I prefer the PS4's UI. It's clean simple, fast, intuitive, and ad free. It's so straight-to-the-point, it catches you off guard at first. The first time I turned on my PS4 it felt a little alien. haha ;) All and all, I find having a PS4 is like having a really nice, upgraded PS3. It's basically everything the PS3 should have been from the start, and that's definitely a compliment.

1 ReplyThe new is congested, forced, inconsistent, paying for ads, painful to watch. 360 blades were an intuitive, simple, yet genius UI. Xbox green machine is wicked. Steam has got it all figured out, I've acquired 59 games through sales pop up that I look forward to seeing at my convenience.

Ps4 is near perfect, if you could organize then it would be perfect

3 RepliesI'm just disgusted by these ads on MY(Microsoft's) Xbox360 console. It's suppose to be MY personalized experience. I know the Xbox One will be full of them, I'm hoping the PS4 doesn't follow (like the online subscription/Live). Otherwise ill just buy a PS3 and buy all their exclusives I missed out on.

4 RepliesThey're both crap. Xbox 360's is perfect.

360> ps4 > xbone > ps3
-
360 UI > both
-
They both need work I don't favor either.
-
As much as im enjoying my ps4, I really miss the 360 UI.
-
Xbox seems to be made for a touchscreen (Kinect I know) which is annoying.
-
Only thing I dislike is the fact that I can't personalize my background on the x1, like you can on the 360. Bring that back and it's a all good.

Edited by VIC: 3/3/2014 2:30:52 AMI own a PS4. I love my PS4. That said, I prefer Metro UI to what we have on the PS4. Fortunately, I only spend a few minutes in the menu. The PS4 UI just needs some organization with the games list. It's already a nuisance (thanks to getting a bunch of games from PS+) and I hope it gets addressed in a future update. I do like that it's ad free. I see "ads" if I scroll through the "what's new" section but it's more based off of what my friends are playing, which is cool. I don't mind ads if they're relevant to what I'm playing or watching.

1 ReplySteam UI.
