Fairly good trade off considering PS+ gives you games that aren't 6 years old.

He didn't say that they're all better than 4-7 year old games. He's saying they're giving you games that are not that old. He never stated anything about the games being better.

No he didn't. He never stated X newer game is better than Y old game. The only thing he said is that they're not giving you games that are as old as the ones MS gives out.

That's my point.... Just because a game is older doesn't mean the newer games are better. That's why he is giving Sony the edge... I don't understand why I am the only one that sees this.

Of course I may be looking too much into this- but the message here is painfully obvious for myself.

Nothing about what he said is suggestion that newer games are better than older games. You're getting caught up in a console war pissing match that nobody but you started in this subthread. The comparison being made is that while one service only lets you rent a game, the service offers newer games that a gamer is less likely to have played. The service that lets you own the game is a service that offers games that most gamers (who were interested in that game) already own. It's a valid comparison, IMO but the quality of the games offered across the board was never called into question until you tripped over yourself to try and argue with a point nobody was making.
