I get that. When I played mass effect I could only play as a soldier class just so I can use all weapons lol. Hopefully in this game it's more close range friendly for less armored classes. Its not that I hate tanking, I hate dying fast more, but I finding to play agile classes more fun these days. Dying means I'm not skillful enough so it challenges me a bit.
