clans, are more community based than other more destiny related topics on this forum.

I can see what you're getting at and understand your point. However, until a recruitment section is created and a vote cast by our members in it's favour we will remain on this one. We are targeting people who have a direct interest in a specific game namely "Destiny". That by itself is grounds to place our thread within this section of the Bungie forum. On a different note and in response to the statement that we are bumping other more important posts out of the way, I hasten to point out that threads sounding like "Bungie have betrayed Xbox" and "Destiny is rubbish" etc really fail to qualify as [i]important[/i]. There are numerous pointless threads that contribute nothing positive to the Destiny community in any way whatsoever. You have made your point and I thank you for speaking your mind.

Edited by thefartassassin: 2/3/2014 3:21:31 PMI had a talk with Sledgehammer73 towards november about how I view these types of threads with the same hostility (couldn't think of a lighter word) that I do those threads you have named. There are threads that I view as important that aren't seen due threads like this, threads like the ones you have named are just as guilty as yours. Sledgeshammer73s answer at the time was interesting, he, like me wanted to see the threads that were bumped down due to threads that got in the way, (a.k.a "COD is better" and "destiny sucks) but like him you fail to see that this thread (all though not as guilty because it is slightly more relevant) is still guilty of bumping down threads. I remember vanguardians (the multi-platform clan) make a thread, but unlike this one they settled and let it die, one and done, and I believe made a website, maybe you should do the same.

They get regularly bumped like ours. There are also many other clans doing the same. Thank you for singling us out amongst numerous others and helping to bump our thread (that you are complaining about) at a higher frequency than previous. The very complaint you have regarding bumping more "relevant" posts has been rendered inert by your own actions. Congratulations for contributing to our Destiny community by keeping our name and recruitment topic high on the list. We have already gained several new members since this discussion started. Your help is greatly appreciated. ;)

Not sure what an asshat is but thanks anyway. I did say several times I understand what you ment and what your issue was. Like I mentioned before, you have made your point and I have listened. Yet again I thank you for your opinion.

You saying you understand means nothing, your actions determine that. This is the difference between saying you can finish a task to your boss and actually performing the task. The actions that I can see shows that you still don't understand what I was saying.

I wasn't referring to compliance, if he understood what I was saying, he would show other ways of showing understanding other then just saying the generic answer "oh, I understand." I don't care if you comply or not, I gave several suggestions and he gave none at all, although I do thank him explaining why it was in #destiny, my point was he showed no sign of understanding what I was saying, no sense of compromise or true answer to me. It was a way to say go screw yourself, I don't feel like talking anymore because I don't actually understand, wrapped in a fake apologetic and a very belittling tone. If you're ever going to give a true answer then maybe this wasn't even worth my time.

What would you have us do to show our understanding? The topic isn't moving, so what else do you want from us? We've both already explained the reasons for it staying, but you keep insisting that we should move it. It appears to me that we've reached an impasse.

What I was hoping was a compromise, but neither of you seem to care for such things which is unfortunate. I don't want to mute sledgehammer because I enjoy reading what he has to say when I come across him. So it seems I will be doing what I always have been doing, bide my time and wait. I waited through the calamity that was halo reach, but it is different now, I am no longer lurking and have an account , a voice to speak against what I find annoying. But even with a voice, one cannot waver the crowds, but the crowds waver men, and I find myself like many being wavered. I will never join your crowd, I see no point and I disagree with what you stand for, but I respect your ability to stand even when I have tried to disable you. So enjoy your clan, and enjoy it well, for this day I am past, and you're present, let us wait and see who becomes future. [spoiler]I felt like writing poetry today but didn't want to get up and go to my notebook because I am lazy. Have fun with your clan in destiny and hopefully (since I do in fact own a PS4) and I can aid you on the battlefield, and what the future holds.[/spoiler]

I'm impressed with your resolve - why stand for something if you don't defend it. I genuinely enjoyed our discussion and sincerely ment it when I said thank you. So many people simply resort to inexplicable foul language and continuous name calling but you pretty much stayed above that. I look forward to bumping into you in game. Would be great to bring the fight to our enemies together, I recon you'd be handy in battle (if your combat skills are anything like your conversational skills)

Well I'm sorry it didn't work out that way, but it's not really that we're unwilling to compromise so much as there's really no way to compromise in this situation. The thread either moves or it doesn't and that's it. There's no middle ground to be had. I would like to say that I do appreciate your politeness though. I'm also sorry to hear that you wouldn't consider joining us, but ya can't win 'em all, I guess.

Not on the same page there. The actions I have taken constitute not doing what you wanted - the fact that I disagree with what you're saying has no bearing on my comprehension of your point. Essentially what has occurred is simple: You have expressed your opinion, I have answered.
