Oh Youtube.. There's a lot of [i]basic[/i] tutorials on Youtube, which in the beginning is what you'd want. If you look on Youtube for a tutorial on any language, you'll be flooded with "*insert language* tutorial 1: Hello World". The author of the video will make a couple more tutorials then just give up on it. So you have hundreds of sets of half finished tutorials at best, almost all of them at the level of a beginner. Unless you're looking for something specific, it's hard to learn a lot from Youtube unfortunately. So if I wanted to know a bit about how to connect to a MySQL database with PHP, I can easily find that on Youtube. If I want to learn PHP, it'd be hard to accomplish that with Youtube. Even in that case, a lot of them will skip vital parts of the process like making sure the connection is secure in the instance of the PHP example. It's kind of a pain.
