>Police have been fairly restrained now that international attention is on it
>Ceasefire for neogtiations
>Battle priests hold the line between police and clankers, no clanks were had.
>Tanks are 30 minutes out (30 hours ago)
>Everyone wants peace but no one can agree to the all the terms, all the time

Edited by Infiltrat0rN7: 1/28/2014 2:24:18 AM
21:41 GMT: The Ukraine government and opposition agreed to cancel anti-riot laws adopted by the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s Parliament) on January 16 which created toughening responsibility for violations during mass unrest, Minister of Justice Elena Lukash said. “The political decision was made to cancel those laws adopted on January 16, which caused numerous debates,” the announcement read. Lukash also noted that those laws which didn't cause mass outcry will be further discussed during an emergency meeting of the Ukrainian parliament on Tuesday, saying that the legislature will be in line with the “European level.”
Also i forgot to tell you all that the Rebels did steal a Bulldozer one day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGxvFdVYsts YT vid of it

Edited by Infiltrat0rN7: 1/27/2014 9:48:16 PM
Overall, at least 311 police officers have been injured in the Kiev riots, 118 of whom have been hospitalized with head injuries, fractures, burns, and stab and slash wounds. Some have also been poisoned by “unknown substances,” the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said in a Sunday stateme
Also
16:29 GMT: The Ukrainian government has drafted a bill facilitating restriction of internet sites, the press service of Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers told Itar-Tass. The draft bill allows any individual or organization to file a request for blocking a webpage to a special body, the National Commission for the State Regulation of Communications). The commission’s experts then decide on whether to block the website in 7 days’ time. A site may be unblocked by the authorities recalling their decision or by site owners appealing it in court. The bill follows the controversial January 16 legislation, which, according to the opposition, has prepared the grounds for internet censorship in Ukraine. http://rt.com/news/kiev-protest-clashes-updates-862/
So it looks like the Govt is attempting a Comms black out

5 RepliesReally good news thread, honestly the only thing on this i saw specifically through western media was the cover story on the Washington Post on the 23rd and sporadic posts on my news app. Also I really like the selection of picture that have been accumulated here, hell of a lot more and better then I've seen over the last week. So have there been any other developments today other then a possible Spetsnaz presence?

Pictures in general don't really impact me, but these pictures of orange clouds and lights and rioters and explosions and guns and just everything makes me stop everything and just look.

It irritates me how few people (at least where I live) have no clue about what's going on over there, or even that anything is happening. These pictures are pretty powerful, too.

Rada deputy Andriy Parybiy, of the Batkivshchyna Party reports having received information about the arrival of Russian Spetznaz Troops in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov had previously pledged that Russia was ready to help regulate the crisis in Ukraine. "There is information that at 1400 Russian Spetznaz troops were disembarking at [Kyiv local airports] Boryspil and Zhulyany dressed in civilian clothing and that they were going to dress in [Ukrainian riot plice] Berkut uniforms and proceed to the Madan" said Parubiy. He added that "at this time people have gone there to confirm this information."
But the fighting will probably start again since the talks between government and opposition didn't seem to do much.
