Pathetic. Just close your eyes or walk away from the screen. Or turn it off. Pathetic.

1 ReplyIMO, bullying is a lot like offensiveness. It takes two conditions. For offensive? 1) Someone must act in an offensive manner. 2) Someone else must be offendable. For bullying? 1) Someone must act like a bully. 2) Someone else must be bully-able. In either instance, it takes two. If someone refuses to be either one? Then life is good. If someone is one or the other? Then there are problems. As far as this site? Not that anyone asked, but if someone insists on being #1? They're probably going to be reported, warned and/or banned, regardless of where their intended target is or is not #2.

I don't get it either, if I really didn't want to bother me on the internet I can just block them.

If you're going to quote people, do it right.

One word: self obsessed little girls Is why.

Don't get me started. Please don't get me started about this. You don't want me to post an enormous wall of text. Let's just go with the fact that, it's real!

Edited by Spawn: 1/22/2014 4:21:45 AMAnd if your content is obtained by someone else and you cannot control where it's posted, then what? Unfortunately, some don't realize the negative impacts of posting online and keeping things private until it's too late. But who is to blame? The child? The parents? Negative precautions don't really happen until it plays off "IRL" either at school or work. I mean, lets be real - people lose their jobs because of their online activity. While it's a different category, being careful of what information you post online means everything in today's culture.

It's real if it carries over into real life bullying, but on its own...yeah, I don't think it's too big a deal.
Unless you're super emotionally unstable. Or you get trolled into deleted your System 32.

I see it as two types of bullying. You have bullying, which can be done with ease through social media sites. You have someone you know (At your school or whatever) slandering, smearing and destroying your life through facebook or whatever as well as in the real world. That's bullying and simply a more cowardly form of bullying. Cyber Bullying is like Assault Weapons, an idiotic term made up to sell newspapers. If some random prick is being an asshole to you online, it shouldn't faze you to the extent of you hanging yourself .-. You block them, report them, do whatever you need to do or just ignore them and laugh off the pathetic actions of a basement dweller. So bullying using the internet/texts is perhaps worse than the regular 'gimme yo lunch money or i'll hit you' because that ends at the schoolgate usually. But someone being mean online that you have never met is a fact of the internet and if you cannot cope with people calling you a retard for liking _____ insert something there, then you should consider upgrading your computer or phone to waterproof IOS7 and test it out in a pond.

because people create alt accounts to bully themselves with.

1 ReplyCyberbullying is only bullying if the bully knows who the bullied is. So yes, cyberbullying is real but it's not what a lot of people make it out to be. Someone making a hateful blog dedicated to ruin your reputation IRL and to spread false information about you = cyberbullying. 200 random guys from all over the world saying that your blog sucks = not cyberbullying.
-
It's only really harmful when it connects to your real life.
-
I get cyber bullied all the time, the F*@!#%ing game always pulls BS on me. and then i end up doing this:
-
6 RepliesHate it when the media blames things like Facebook when a kid kills themselves over cyber bullying. If someone starts being a dick, block them, delete them, close the fucking computer down. The people being bullied are just attention seeking whores.

Your generation is soft

Agreed. Thats what mute user, block user, report user, flag post, close tabs, close browser, and turn computer off are for.
