Which Focus Movement will you chose?
I'm already thinking of different tactics I'm going to use in the game. One of my tactics will be to upgrading one of my weapons to do damage over time (Bungie said its possible). This will help me fight against players who have fast healing abilities. Since they heal faster, I can even out the playing field by using a weapon that slowly hurts them overtime so their healing abilities wont be a issue because it got canceled out. Pretty smart right.
For my Focus Movement, I will use the Teleportation ability to move in and out battles quickly and to do surprise attacks when I teleport from behind a wall to catch other Guardians off-guard in PvP and in PvE.
Comment below to share some of your tactics!

Double Jump: fast movement along the z-axis Glide: fast movement along x & y-axis Teleport: instant movement along all axis. I wonder what I'll choose.

Which Focus Movement will you chose?
The way you are asking that question makes it sound like we will be able to freely choose a movement ability. From what I've heard, each class will initially have a few focuses/foci to choose from. Those things each grant specific traits and abilities, such as supers, grenades, and the movement ability. If what I've heard is correct, you'll need to unlock a lot of the stuff in a focus before you can use it, and one of those is most likely the movement ability. If this is how it is, then you won't be able to just pick and choose any movement ability you like, it will be linked to the focus of your choice.

It depends on if the Teleport allows you to 'blink' through walls and such. If so, that. If not, Double Jump. Though, as Mac01997 said, why choose?
-
All of them since I can have at least three characters in game.
-
Teleport, imagine a Hive Knight's blade is coming right at your face and you can't move out of the way in time. BAM! You're out of the way and behind the Knight.
-
It depends On the distance that one may teleport.
-
Wont know Until i have tried all of them, and figure what method best fits how I play.
-
In competitive play i would use Double Jump or Teleportation. The reason i wouldn't use Glide is because even though it may get you across to another platform it also leaves you vulnerable to be attacked by any adversaries because unlike Teleportation and Double Jumping which can get you out of a sticky situation quickly gliding would probably not be used for these purposes

3 RepliesCan't decide between glide or teleport. I mean, for glide, I can glide and shoot down for easier headshots, but teleport might be useful for health , regen, and sniping reasons. I'll have to see with the beta
-
5 RepliesGiven my "In-your-face" playstyle, I think I'll use blink, and find a way to actually, actively use it as a means to combat. I remember them saying that during the movement skill your gun would be lowered, and you would be unable to perform combat actions, so I think that'll put me a little high-risk, but hey, I'm a Titan, why not?
-
2 RepliesTeleport! Are you kidding me? 'Jumper', the movie, style. :)
-
I think double jump will reflect my play style the most.
-
I wonder if you will be vulnerable after your movements like you willl be during and slightly after a slide. (according to the info from the Januarycast
-
2 RepliesI would do a mirage >cornered >sends mirage out >if lucky enemy will follow and or shoot at it >uses distraction to get out Or it can be used to make your enemy reload
-
1 ReplyI think we should be able to double jump, break off that jump in midair by gliding, and then teleport a few extra feet after gliding.
-
Blink. Jump, Blink behind someone, turn, blast them in the back.
-
When I'm playing co-op I think I might use teleport. For multiplayer I haven't decided.
-
7 RepliesQuestion: Did anyone else catch Bungie referring to the teleport as a "blink" several times during the Januarycast? I guess that is the official name?
-
2 RepliesYou forgot the slide option that they've talked about on the podcast.
-
None.
-
It's all very situational, I mean how high does a normal jump go up and is a double jump truly double that height ? How far does teleport take you and are you able to pass through objects such as enemies or players and small obstacles ? How far am I able to glide and at what rate do I return to the ground ? Too many unanswered variables to answer appropriately.

If Blink acts like Evade then it'll be a great device for PVE. Now all I need is the Grenade Launcher.
-
3 RepliesIf the teleport is anything like the 'dive' in Reach, I'll never be caught without it.
-
6 RepliesGlide for PvE. Slide for PvP.
-
14 RepliesIt largely depends on the game feel of each movement abillity. However, I do know this, the Shoulder Charge Abillity, whether it's a Vertical Movement Mode, or a Horizontal Movement Mode (an option instead of sliding?), is going to be my go to abillity if they nail the flavor.

gliding and double jumping have been done so many times really well already, but even though teleporting has also been done, teleporting freely seems like something I haven't seen done (at least not successfully) and if it feels and works really good then that's gonna be my first go to Focus Movement
