Lately, I've been seeing more and more establishments putting "no smoking - including e-cigarettes" on their doors. While I have no objection to the use of e-cigs in public, including areas where regular cigarettes are not allowed, I can understand where the restaurant/bar/etc is coming from.
Where do you stand?

1 ReplyEdited by im am b0red: 1/11/2014 7:04:52 AMThey should be allowed in principle, but normally the people I see using them act all douchey. Its like the thrive on people's reaction of them" smoking" inside. They blow the vapor and look around waiting for someone to say something just so they can say, ITS NOT HURTING ANYONE HUE HUE

E-cigs are even more annoying to be around because the little Asian f.ucks who use them think they're cool for using them.
-
They don't bother me, so I don't care if they're allowed. Banning them outright would be asinine.
-
I don't like E-Cigs where I'm eating or if I'm watching a movie.

Edited by Ad Hoc: 1/11/2014 7:38:39 AMIt's up to the business, but it doesn't make a lot of sense. Maybe they don't want their restaurant to look trashy? Maybe the water vapor annoys people? I don't know. On a kind of similar note, I've been using an E-Cig a bit to cut back on smoking. It's okay, but it's not the same.

Edited by cxkxr: 1/11/2014 7:38:02 AMIt should be allowed anywhere, unless the owner of a property says otherwise.

I don't mind e-cigs, but they aren't for me.
-
1 ReplySo, what's the point of banning them?
-
6 RepliesThey're silly. But if people are too weak to just quit then they may as well take the option without secondhand smoke.
-
1 ReplyDepends upon what it's loaded with. Suppose someone smoked an e-cig in public specifically designed to smell identical to shit. What would the opinion be, then?
-
2 Repliesit should be left to the discretion of the property owners the same is for just about anything really

E-cigs wouldn't bother me indoors. They don't smell bad (the ones I've been around), and its just water vapor so it dissipates quickly.
