Put intelligence to 9. Charisma down to like, 2 as its not too useful compared to the others. Then head STRAIGHT to Rivet City (Don't do anything else yet) and get the Intelligence Bobblehead- 10 INT gives you a lot more skill points to distribute and ultimately make a more powerful character.
Or, if you can wait til level 28, there is a perk that sets all of your SPECIAL stats to 9. If you get this before bobbleheads, you can have 10 in every stat.
Don't bother with The Nuka-Cola Challenge quest- not worth it when there's a perk for getting level 3 of all schematics.
Don't blow up megaton. You can get into Tenpenny anyway.
Do all the optional objectives in The Wasteland Survival Guide, as you get a lot more loot from it.
Do Operation: Anchorage at the start of the game, as you get Power Armour Training from it, and it's very easy. Only a 2-3 hour questline.
Pick these items up-
Cigarettes, Pre-War money, anything over 10 caps, all weapons and armour, selling these will gain money. Fast.
Scrap Metal- Sell to Walter in Megaton for ten caps a piece. The item is very common so easy money.
Don't drink Nuka-Cola Quantum, as there are about 90 of them in the game (Without a certain perk) and they are rarе loot. The Nuka-Grenade oneshots Deathclaws
Don't kill the sniper in Minefield, Arkansas as he is part of getting into Paradise Falls and isn't affiliated with a town.
Stay away from Old Olney/ Vault 92.
In Vault 87, don't be a dick. Rescue Fawkes.
Talon Combat Armour will be the best Apparel you find in the early game, if you don't do MQ or DLC.
If you see a Feral Ghoul Reaver, run. You run so far away (2x Nuka grenade)
Get the Steel Ingots in The Pitt as part of the questline- they don't weigh anything until you turn In the first ten. Other than that, every ten you collect world you incredibly powerful gear that can serve you comfortably to the highest levels.
Luck stat increases all skills by 0.5 for each point in it. Remove or add one to make an even number for its full effectiveness.
The first mailbox in Springvale has 3x Frag Grenades, Jet and Psycho in it.
Behind Megaton is a rock with Stims, A Sniper and some .308 rounds. (Sniper breaks very quickly)
Is this good enough?

Edited by Officer Nasty: 1/9/2014 11:50:13 PMHow do I start operation anchorage? Or any of the DLCs for that matter. I'm at the downloads screen but when I select them it doesn't do anything
-
No. You want him to find or buy every schematic so he can get one extra park.

I've been acting like such a little brat so far, choosing every snotty answer I can think of lol. And I just fought Butch, because it's my sweet roll! >:|
Then head STRAIGHT to Rivet City (Don't do anything else yet)
Yeah, if you want him to be torn apart by the huge amount of Super Mutants and Raiders there are along the way.
-
No. If you go from Megaton to Super-Duper mart and into the river, you may get hit once or twice but they'll focus on each other. Then simply hop out Rivet City and do stuff. It's easy, I do it all the time.

This is perfect, thank you

Edited by Votable: 1/9/2014 10:48:45 PMCharisma can make you pass areas you'd have to pay for or fight, but it sometimes means you can skip a quest (usually fetch). So it seems it's not that useful save for unique dialogue and to get outa shit.
