So, I recently bought a very modest used car, which will be my first, and ordered my Provisional Driver's Licence. The insurance while learning is a very good £400 ($661), but as soon as you substitute in a full licence, the cost skyrockets to around £3,200 ($5290). Apparently it's cheaper to pay for the entire year up-front, but my family and I just don't have the means to do that. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
